White House is bugged
8-2-2017 | Me

I can't think of another way to explain the leaks. A day after Kelly assumes office, a story leaks involving Kelly himself. Trump can keep firing people all he wants until he is left with only Ivanka, Jarred and himself in the WH but the leaks will still most likely continue.

Which leads me to think Mohammed Hussein O Barrack in the waning days of his presidency had the WH bugged using the most advanced technology at his disposal. Not hard to imagine since he had the full support of Big Tech. As long as words are spoken inside the WH they will get 'leaked' and the president should be aware of that.

is it naive for me to posit that what is happening is a way to “trap” the leakers?....just have to think that the President has the most sophisticated bug detection devices hopefully run by confidantes....President Trump is a ruthless business man who butted heads with a lot of traitors (business) in his past. Why not use proven methods to weed out this betrayers?

Just sayin/asking...

Oh good Lord.

You may have heard of Anthony Scaramucci? He, immediately after being named Communications Director, called the New Yorker to leak damaging info against his White House peers.

Do you think this was an abberation or do you suspect this is the way the White House staff has been operating since the election?

bugged for sure, since O so strangely moved within hearing range of any bugs

but I bet there are some well-planted people-spies in there too

I suggested this bugging on a previous thread. The problem is if Trump had it debugged, how trustworthy was the debugger and who recommended him? I’d debug it again with someone else.

I have confidence that President Trump is smarter than this.

I’ve been saying that. The devices are so small you can hardly see them, and wouldn’t recognize them if you did.

Any ‘bugs’ could be very low tech devices, simple audio recorders rather than transmitters, placed and retrieved by hand on a regular basis.

Then again, there could be a team of “remote viewers” paid to do nothing but spy on Trump and his administration.

Wives of British diplomats have told me that complaining about their living conditions in Moscow got them nowhere. Then they discovered that if they discussed something on the phone with another Brit, it got fixed.

You’d be bugged too if people kept jacking you around.

second thought....or he knows it’s bugged and is feeding false info to the buggers...

All they need to do is record conversations, different ones in each room, all with juicy tidbits of media fodder, and see what makes it to print, then they know within certain coordinates where listening pickups may be located.

Cool thing is, once they know, they can use the pickup to disseminate misdirection and strategery.

A thought just hit me; I wonder if long range listening devices were precisely aimed from across several different streets to intersect precisely in the Oval Office, if that could create a virtual mike

This is what I have thought as well. Not just the Oval Office, but other locations in the White House also. There is amazing technology out there these days.

Didn’t one of the aspirants to the throne do something like that on Game of Thrones: give three suspect followers different messages to see who the squealer was?
Or maybe it was ‘Different Strokes’.

Just imagine the techniques available today, along with the countermeasures and counter-countermeasures. http://www.nytimes.com/1979/05/30/archives/soviet-halts-microwaves-aimed-at-us-embassy.html
Since the mid‐1960's Washington repeatedly protested to Moscow on radiation bombardment. The exact purpose of the activity never has been clear. American officials theorized that the microwaves could have been intended to jam American electronic‐intelligence equipment or to trigger electronic monitor devices concealed in the embassy.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Thing_(listening_device)

The Thing, also known as the Great Seal bug, was one of the first covert listening devices (or "bugs") to use passive techniques to transmit an audio signal. It was concealed inside a gift given by the Soviet Union to W. Averell Harriman, the United States Ambassador to the Soviet Union, on August 4, 1945.

The device, a passive cavity resonator, became active only when a radio signal of the correct frequency was sent to the device from an external transmitter. This is currently referred in NSA parlance as "illuminating" a passive device. Sound waves (from voices inside the ambassador's office) passed through the thin wood case, striking the membrane and causing it to vibrate. The movement of the membrane varied the capacitance "seen" by the antenna, which in turn modulated the radio waves that struck and were re-transmitted by the Thing. A receiver demodulated the signal so that sound picked up by the microphone could be heard, just as an ordinary radio receiver demodulates radio signals and outputs sound.

So basically, the Soviets beamed a massive MW signal toward one side of the building. The people talking in the building vibrated a tuned box which caused the MW signal to be changed by the voice. The Soviets had a receiver on the other side of the building that subtracted the MW signal and what was left was the voice signal of the Ambassador speaking.

That was seventy years ago. With the digital world of the past 30 or 40 years a whole new age of intrusive spying opened up.

It should be noted that Trump frequently goes down to Mara Largo with his team. He knows that his resort and hotel is safe.

Any ‘bugs’ could be very low tech devices, simple audio recorders rather than transmitters, placed and retrieved by hand on a regular basis.

In the digital age no one needs to "plant" a device. Digital phones and other smart devices can be hacked to come on without a call or piggybacked to provide a monitor post. In the 1980,s we could bridge a maintenance station on a Northern Telecom or DSC (Alcatel - Nokia) Long Distance switch to monitor individual phone calls. Yes, maintenance technicians listen to phone calls. A technician on the graveyard shift has been known to monitor the Trunk lines between New York and Miami and put the calls on the building intercom just to stay awake. Anyone can be spied on.

It is a simple thing for an expert to use the digital world as a vast spy network.
