Don’t support the party: support conservative candidates wherever you can find them, if you can find them.

I no longer have any time for careerist GOP plantation porch “conservatives”. They were all hiding under their desks while their constitutions were smeared as “Nazis” and threatened with violence post Charlottesville. No thanks.

Well, if you can find some real conservatives on your ballot, vote for them. If you can’t don’t vote then.

Every election cycle my Reliably Republican brother and I argue the old canard about “withholding your vote is the same as voting for the dhimmicrat”. this off-season cycle is no different, but he was shocked when I told him that I had actually started in 2013 (after the infamous romney debacle).

I vet candidates very closely and won’t waste my vote on anything less than conservative (one would be surprised how many pubbies aren’t conservatives). I’d rather not cast a vote at all rather than vote for a cur. And if someone I supported fails to deliver then no more support from me. I’m tired of rewarding scoundrels who betray us.

We recently went to a district Republican picnic to meet prospective candidates. One of them is Dave Reichert - a US Rep and a true traitor to the cause.

I got a golden opportunity to shake his hand and tell him how much I admired him when he was the county sheriff. And then to tell him how disappointed I was in his voting record and that I would never cast a vote for him again.

I don’t know who had the more shocked look - the candidate or my brother.

"GOP has the Senate, GOP has the House, GOP has POTUS. And all the years they lied are now due. We gave them EVERYTHING. They gave us NOTHING."

Oh, they gave us something alright. We just had to bend over and grab our ankles to receive it...

I replied on another thread with this: I called my Rep and both Senators, Republicans all, and told them it was about damn time this REPUBLICAN Congress got up and got behind our REPUBLICAN President. I also told them I would not lift a finger or donate a dime except to help primary opponents unless they got with the program.
I’m still getting lip service from all of them. They really don’t get it that the base is fed up and ready to bolt.

My point is that they tried. Even if they didn’t succeed, they were at least willing to try. I wish I could say the same of Congress.

Well at least it’s better than the fast, blood-curdling horrendous violent death of the Democrat Party unfolding before our very eyes since the election.

Before the 2014 election in which Lee Terry, the idiot, lost his House seat to the bigger Dem idiot I told him that I had, for 35 years, loyalty voted Republican only to get bigger government, more spending and less freedom. When he lost that election I imagined his dad, who was a local news reader in his day, as Jackie Gleason in Smokey and the Bandit saying “You did not come from my loins” and “When I get home I’m gonna punch your momma right in the mouth”!

I keep saying i am turning in my Republican card and registering independent. Did not do it right after the election, figuring one last chance, but GOPe wont work with the president the people elected so the party is dead to me... only reason i have not done it is because i want to write a letter to go with the card, so McCains office and the other rinos know its because of their actions i disapprove of and not our president.

Help fix the Republican Party. Do you know who is your Precinct Committeeman? Is he/she a "good guy?" If so, support him her. If not run against her/him at the next election. If a Freeper did this in every precinct in the country, we'd control the Party. Quit bitchin' and pitch in.

Poor choice of words on my part, LOL! I just meant to primary them and get them gone.

I did enjoy your choice of words. Freudian slip maybe?
