There's no word on what those questions are, or why Kaspersky's offer to share its source code isn't enough to prove there's no backdoor

If I had the ability to inspect the source code and build it myself, I would not see a reason to be concerned. The fact that Kaspersky is Russian isn't automatically a reason to believe that software from Russia is compromised. Given the Equifax fiasco, I'd be more concerned about numbskull IT guys in companies which store customer personal info.

All antivirus programs are “compromised” in different ways. One has to wonder why Kaspersky (for example) was the only firm to highlight and identify Stuxnet and other viruses, while western companies politely ignored them. I have no doubt they’d shut up about viruses originating from the Russian security services, but the reverse is also true with regard to western firms and western viruses. Overlapping defense is the best strategy.

As if the NSA doesn’t have a backdoor to McCafee, Microsoft Defender, Symantec, etc.

When I was at the grocery store yesterday, there was still Wish Bone Russian dressing on the shelf.

Will it be there next time?!?

We live in opposite land here in America. That tells me it must be the best one and the one most likely to recognize FBI/CIA/NSA intrusions as a threat.

They make a very good boot scanner that other companies don't and won't even offer. I've cross checked their results with other engines, so I not sure where the problem is, but they are becoming verboten in the cyber world.

I guess because of Hillary and the DNC's insistence on staying with the cover story that Russian Hacking elected Trump and not the voters.

Love to know who they donated too and how this plays w/ the Board of BB, nothing is as it seems nothing. Or, someone wants to own that space and they are selling boxes w/ their anti-spyware/anti-virus as part of the preferred suite of products, so they are being nudged out.....

I prefer Kaspersky to all other brands of anti-virus software. I’ve been using it for years. It has caught stuff the simpleton Symantec let march right through the front door.
