The Queens most senior courtier was forced out in a power struggle between Buckingham Palace and the Prince of Wales, it was claimed last night.
Sir Christopher Geidt, the Queens private secretary, suddenly announced in July that he was leaving after 15 years of royal service, loudly insisting that the monarchy was in good shape.
The Mail revealed that he was being followed by his assistant private secretary, Samantha Cohen, the third most senior courtier in the Queens private office, amid tensions between the main royal households and their senior staff, particularly Buckingham Palace and Clarence House.
Now The Times newspaper has claimed that Sir Christophers demise was sealed by a series of complaints from Charles and his brother, Prince Andrew, to the Queen who, unusually, backed her sons over her staff.

i just hope the Queen can outlive the insufferable Charles so the crown goes to Wills.
If Charles ever sits on the throne he will do grave damage to the monarchy.

Some have indicated that Charles might abdicate the throne to William under such a scenario. Maybe be king for a day, then step aside. The belief is he may not desire the attention he and Camilla would get, with Camilla being particularly unpopular with the British people.
Prince William is considered to be lazy. His father actually works harder and cares. I think the monarchy is gone fairly soon.
The royals do nothing but cut ribbons at AIDS hospices and orphanages, and ignore abortion and Muslim invasion. What could there possibly be to fight about?
If they weren’t there, would anyone miss them except the Royal Welfare Office?
