It was shocking to see University College Dublins Literary and Historical Society present their James Joyce award to Al Sharpton.
Al Sharpton?
Not mentioned anywhere in the citation was Sharptons role in the Tawana Brawley case, during which he defamed and destroyed utterly innocent men over a rape that never happened.
Nor were Sharptons former ties to the mob nor his role as an informer brought up, which is really no surprise.
Sharpton joined a prestigious list of other honorees that includes Nobel Prize-winners anti-apartheid campaigner Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Irish politician John Hume and poet Seamus Heaney. I have no doubt those three great men would be disgusted at the company they are now keeping with the award. [ ]
Now presidents and mayors come calling. MSNBC even gave him a nightly show for a time. Now the name of Irelands greatest writer has been linked to this charlatan. The UCD Society that invited him should be ashamed of themselves.

Great. Now someone please explain to Al Sharpton who James Joyce was.
James Joyce and Al Sharpton are both masters of the “word salad”
The ineluctable modality of liberal stupidity, at least that if no more.
What happened to "Resist We Much"?
He thought they were talking about a nightclub called “James’ Joint”.
Little known fact: Leopold Bloom is actual based on Al Sharpton.
Roger Stone was Al’s presidential campaign manager.
Al has always been a big phony, and Trump knows it.
Since when does a literary society give awards to illiterate people?
:)
Post of the day.
.
Word salad and malapropism winner remains Rev'run Al, Resist we much!
Now that’s a contender! LOL!
Another liberal circlejerk. Hohum.
Al Sharpton is the exact opposite of James Joyce.
An entire book could be written on that subject.
This podcast will help explain James Joyce and where _he_ was coming from:

Awards MATTER!
The only words Sharpton could read in a James Joyce novel are the, and, a, and a few other articles.
