'Mobile tree' seen heading into Carmarthen . . .
Weve all heard of branching out but this is ridiculous.
A mobile tree has been spotted being driven into Carmarthen , with its leaves emanating proudly from the open sunroof of a Citroen Berlingo.
The picture was captured on the A40 eastbound carriageway heading into Carmarthen.
At first glance it looks like the vehicle is simply driving past a large and leafy tree on the side of the road, but on closer inspection it becomes clear that the tree is sticking out of the sunroof.
The AA said that driving with a tree as a passenger could make things more difficult, and that it would be better to arrange alternative transport for plants, never mind one of this size.
The driver would struggle to see the wood for the trees," a spokesman said.
Plants sticking out of the sun roof in this way would make driving more difficult, especially if the wind was particularly strong.
Our advice would be to leaf the plants at the shop and arrange for them to be delivered."
Despite the funny image of the tree hurtling down the dual carriageway, the police have warned that any road users that might cause potential danger to others would be stopped if caught.
"Any vehicle deemed to be carrying an insecure load or could be causing danger to other road users will be stopped by police and could potentially be fined, given penalty points or prosecuted," a spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said.
"Anyone with concerns about the safety of a vehicle is urged to report it to police on 101."
Its unclear if special branch had any involvement.
What’s the problem?
A true Green Vehicle.
“The driver would struggle to see the wood for the trees.”
I’m pretty sure I know how they meant that phrase.
Well, if squirrels got in his car...
Looks like bamboo...
They should be glad it’s not a Devil’s Club.
I didn’t know they had rednecks over there.
That’s one way to put the wind in your willows.
Oh, yeah, they have their own version in certain places.
Oh, you’re right... I forgot that Wales is the hillbilly motherland!
With a dedicated vegetarian behind the wheel.
your cousins...
Speaking of trees... who knew trees could be racist?
Neighbors want them gone...

I brought my willow, my plumb, my and my oak home like that. Easy peasy. I fart in the general direction of naysayers.
And as soon as the trees are removed and property values increase, the complaint will be that whitey is making housing unaffordable for blacks and doing that’s racist.
Mr Bean stuff.
I was thinking more vintage Jeremy Clarkson / Top Gear.
Hey I resemble that remark...
I have often wondered if anybody took pictures of some of the loads I have hauled... LOL
Last night my wife was driving home on a pitch black rainy night here in rural Alaska when this guy lost control of a junk flatbed car hauler that had one missing wheel and hub, it was tandem axel, it had no side lights or reflectors, he has the trailer sticking diagonally out in the lane when she hit it, totally destroyed my 2012 Equinox. She is ok.
Just another moron using a vehicle in a dangerous manner.
I read the story and whether or not the trees were originally planted to segregate the “black” neighborhood” from the golfers and white neighborhood will never be really known, but the folks deserve the right to have their home values on par with those on the other side of the golf course, that is, connect their neighborhood with the rest of Palm Springs. They really aren’t asking too much. Tear down the trees, help with the costs of a privacy fence for those homeowners that want it. At the very least, the city should take the tamarisk down. For one reason only, they suck up water horribly. Folks in the southwest know the problem with tamarisk.
