Cowboys TV ratings in Dallas-Fort Worth are slipping
Sportsday. Dallas News.com ^ | Barry Horn , Staff Writer

Any television show or any sporting event would take a rating of 30.0 in the Dallas-Fort Worth market and laugh all the way to the bank. It's a terrific number. It means that an average of 30 percent of all homes with televisions in the area were tuned in at any moment. That translates to approximately 794,550 homes. Relatively speaking, however, those are low numbers for a Green Bay Packers-Dallas Cowboys matchup. But that's what Sunday's down-to-the-wire Packers 35, Cowboys 31 at AT&T Stadium scored locally for Fox on KDFW (Channel 4).

If the Dallas Cowboy fans support is slipping, then the whole NFL should be worried.

.

It may already be too late for any action.
This boycott is real and gaining momentum

Couldn’t happen to a nicer group of millionaires who disrespect the policemen and people who defend them. Sorry there are still some who tune them in.

Some apologist was claiming the players were just praying.

Praying for what, people to believe their BS?

Here is why they are protesting.

To divert from their horrific domestic violence record.

With the Eagles running away with the division, those numbers will probably drop even more.

No, they are ‘protesting” as black bigots who have bought the BS “black lives matter” and supporting a far leftist racist who worships Che and Castro

Interesting isn’t it, after all this the media and pols STILL won’t acknowledge racism by blacks

On Sundays, around these here parts, there are cars parked around houses like someone is having a party. All over the city.

The left has succeeded at putting great dents in General Motors, the Boy Scouts, you name it.

All this flag-squatting is making me spitting mad - I like to take that one day and kick back with a bowl of Texas queso (made with Rotel and Velveta), chips, guacamole and a Corona, and watch mah Boys - only to have them dang libtards fancy-talking up a blue streak bout how they don't mind dissing our men in blue ...

Jerry make sure you git them fellers to stand up!! And fire their @$$es if they do the knee or the fist.

Remember the Alamo!

Just more “virtual signaling” from clueless “professional” players.

Most couldn’t articulate the reason why they’re kneeling.

Athletes, am I right?

Except for a few teams, most players do stand for the anthem.

However, just one turd in the punchbowl is enough to spoil the drink.

This boycott is real and gaining momentum

I'm not sure this is a 'boycott', I think it might be much worse for the NFL.

My wife has a saying, "the opposite of love, is not hate, it's indifference". I think a large number of fans have (at least I know I have), become indifferent to the NFL. I used to be passionate about watching NFL games. I didn't care who was playing, I would watch. I loved going down the street to the local sports bar, drinking a few beers, eating some wings, watching football, and hanging out with other football lovers.

Things have changed. I'm not saying I'm boycotting watching the NFL, but now I'm kind of indifferent to it. I'll still watch 'my team' (the Bengals, and they SUCK), but I don't really have a desire to watch any of the other games.

The real problem I see for the NFL, is I don't see this as a 'boycott', so I don't see the NFL as having a way to get people back. I really don't think if all the players decided to stand, and be respectful, that fans would come back. I really believe a lot of people have lost passion for the NFL, just as I have.

I understand that. A losing team tends to weed out the fair weather fans and bandwagon jumpers.

With Elliott beginning his suspension a lot more will find better things to do on Sunday.

I maybe one of them(yes, I’m a diehard fan)

Through five games last season, the Cowboys averaged a 31.5 rating. In 2017, they are at 30.3. That's 52,755 fewer homes tuning in. That's a decrease of 4 percent.

As per the article from Sportsday I posted.
