Six women accuse filmmaker Brett Ratner of sexual harassment or misconduct
Los Angeles Times ^ | November 1, 2017 | AMY KAUFMAN AND DANIEL MILLER

Natasha Henstridge was watching a movie on Brett Ratner’s couch when she fell asleep. She was a 19-year-old fashion model; he was an up-and-coming music video director in his early 20s. They had been hanging out in front of the TV with friends at his New York apartment.

But when Henstridge woke up, the others had left. She was alone with Ratner. She got up to leave, Henstridge said, but he blocked the doorway with his body and wouldn’t budge. He began touching himself, she said, then forced her to perform oral sex.

“He strong-armed me in a real way. He physically forced himself on me,” she said. “At some point, I gave in and he did his thing.”

Ratner, through his attorney Martin Singer, disputed her account.

Since that incident in the early 1990s, Henstridge has found success as an actress — starring in the films “Species” and “The Whole Nine Yards.” But she said she has carried the memory of the run-in with her, and watched from afar as Ratner became one of Hollywood’s most powerful players — directing, producing or financing dozens of today’s biggest box-office hits, including “Rush Hour,” “X-Men: The Last Stand,” “The Revenant” and “Horrible Bosses.”

As hundreds of women have come forward in recent weeks with allegations of sexual misconduct at the hands of producer Harvey Weinstein, director James Toback and numerous other powerful men, Henstridge decided she would no longer remain silent.

When men force women to perform oral sex the women need to remember they have teeth and make sure it’s the last bj he’ll ever get.

That’s not sexual harassment, that’s rape and should have been reported at the time it happened, not as a #MeToo.

Pretty soon no one will be left in HW to do anything.

I wonder if anyone will notice.

It’s pretty funny how the Trump administration has empowered women to talk about this in Hollywood. Decades of Clinton, Bush and Obama and nobody said a word.

At some point some innocent male directors and film moguls will be falsely accused. Not that I have sympathy for them because they’re responsible for much of the moral decay and depravity we see in movies and TV, but I can see an orchestrated campaign a mile away with all this. All of the accused are white males. Don’t think for a second that getting rid of powerful white men, regardless of their ideology, isn’t the purpose here. I work with a few white male snowflakes and I keep telling them they’re just as big a target as any conservative for professional and personal destruction simply because they are white males!

NO COINCIDENCE........

all of these filthy men bing outed as sexual abusers are liberal blowhards....

these phonies go limp at the sound of abortion rights, womens right and so-called equality.

their movies promote sex on demand, full frontal nudity, the ever-handy diversity and the destruction of morality and christin values.

itsalmost laughable to see their masks slip....to seem them as they really are....a bunch of depraved degenrates.

Astute.

One of the reasons that it is male whites is because they held much of the power AND because like you said..easy target.

Since this is so prevalent throughout industries..why not some of the powerful people in MUSIC..which had plenty of powerful blacks.

It's why so many hate Trump. He's ripped the masks off of everyone.

And the second tier (local) media hates him because he doesn't need them for anything.

This is a very unsettling time, but in the end I think it will be seen as good for everyone.

...yes, the need to protect first Ted Kennedy, then Bill Clinton, (and then Hillary) probably delayed this day of reckoning for Hollywood. The need to attack Trump may have hastened it a bit.

But then she wouldn't have gotten the role.

Yet another Hollywood bigshot who apparently made women watch him masturbate. This seems to be common behavior with these guys. Can someone explain this? I’m a man and can’t imagine forcing a woman to watch me do this.

Pretty soon, instead of producing license plates, prisons will be putting out movies and videos by the inmates.

People are guessing James Cameron based on Title clue

http://blindgossip.com/?p=88009#more-88009

If you think the Harvey Weinstein scandal is HUGE, it could be the TIP OF THE ICEBERG!

A large assortment of actresses are lining up to accuse a very famous and successful A-list director of all kinds of revolting crimes against women.

This misogynistic guy was reasonably careful with his established female stars – he specialized in taking advantage of the young and desperate actresses competing for the smaller roles. No sex – no parts.

He’s expected to offer a lot of money to settle the claims and shut everyone up, but the girls are DYING to spill the beans, and we hope the lurid facts leak out…
