Nurseries are encouraging children to question their gender by reading them stories that challenge male and female stereotypes.
Books including characters who believe the are the wrong gender will be read to children as young as three after LGBT inclusion group Educate and Celebrate put them on nursery and primary school reading lists.
One features a teddy bear named Thomas, who says 'in my heart, I've always known that I am a girl teddy', according to The Sunday Times.
Educate and Celebrate, which was funded by the the Department for Education, has backed dozens of schools in adopting gender-neutral toilets and uniforms.
Stories encourage girls to consider a career in fire-fighting and boys to cook dinner for their families.
Introducing Teddy, which is published by Bloomsbury, features an exchange between Thomas and his friend Errol, in which Thomas says: 'I need to be myself, Errol. '
In my heart, I've always known that I am a girl teddy, not a boy teddy. I wish my name was Tilly, not Thomas.'
Another on the list is a picture book called Are You a Boy or Are You a Girl? The story's main character, Tiny, questions their gender identity and discussion topics are listed at the back of the book, including: 'Does it matter if Tiny is a boy or a girl? Should Tiny be allowed to play football and dress up as a fairy?'
Campaign for Real Education chairman Chris McGovern branded the move a mistake.
'I do not question the intentions of the people using and promoting this material, but it is misguided,' he said.

Yup. For three-year-olds, their world is simple; “bird pretty”, “me tired”. Books for children that young should be simple and comforting. At that age they’re building a vocabulary.

most children are physically preyed upon in one form or other. Parent or relative or person at school older or younger being too kissy, huggy or over powering in some way. Today’s tv and all sorts of other mixed message methods in society. Some kids get confused and it can spiral from there. It doesn’t have to be some bigger sexual abuse issue. It can easily, simply be small stuff compounded over time.
I agree. This is child abuse yet it is allowed to go on under the guise of ‘diversity’. Diversity is not, by default, a strength.

This won’t affect most three year olds. Most wouldn’t like the book. Three year olds see this in black and white. You’re a girl or you’re a boy. They also seewhat they want to play with as totally binary for each child. What he does want to play with and what he doesn’t. Period. And each child might want things that are gender typical, or not, at three. One boy might love to play dress up including as a princess, but still love smashing trucks together. Girls might love dinosaurs and blocks and baby dolls. And this book won’t chsnge any of that.
So while this is stupid stupid stupid social influencing to promote a ridiculous agenda, it won’t harm preschoolers. Nor will it make them gay or transgender. NOTHING WILL. Not even rape by men. I’ve known a lot of men molested as children by men. While it ruins their lives and is so hard to rise above, they were not turned homosexual.
Sexual orientation is mostly hardwired. Can you force yourself or try the other gender? Yes. But if a boy is heterosexual, childhood exposure to gayness still won’t turn him gay.

I believe your stats with regard to molesters. Many if not most were molested as children, and thus have a propensity to grow up and do what was done to them.
I disagree that (men) raping boys turns them homosexual. In SNAP there are many adult male survivors raped by clergy or other child authority figures. All that I have known were hetero. Do they have some sexual hangups? Yes. But they never lost their sexual orientation.
