The world is changing.  It's fierce (in a good way).  Somewhere in it, among everyone else trying to break out of their insecurity shells, is a young boy named Ethan.  This 8-year-old heard the call to become something outside of the status quo, and he's rocking it with untethered passion.  Ethan wants to dress in drag and, with the support of his mom, he's making it happen.  Keep reading to see the professionally made-up Ethan donning his dream appearance — that of a fierce drag queen. Do you support your children in whatever choices they make?  Let us know in the comments!

The world is changing. It's fierce (in a good way). Somewhere in it, among everyone else trying to break out of their insecurity shells, is a young boy named Ethan. This soon to be 9-year-old heard the call to become something outside of leftist orthodoxy, the overdone cliches that socialist mothers are demanding their children comply with, and he's rocking it with untethered passion.

Tired of dressing up as a figurative fruit, Ethan wants to dress as a banana and, with the support of his mom, he's making it happen. Keep reading to see the professionally made-up Ethan donning his dream appearance — that of a ripe Chiquita banana. Do you support your children in whatever choices they make? Let us know in the comments!

When a change that small turns the article into something that even a social justice warrior would consider absurd (I hope!), you know the original was over the top.

I attribute my family dodging those bullets to the complete absence of any television or modern cable programming. The only movies they watched were ones selected by mother or I after careful screening.

In addition, no one got a cell phone, basic model (no smart phones) until they were sixteen. They could text or call, that was it. They got email addresses the year prior to leaving for college or whatever they decided. So far, no major incidents or massive changes in self identity

I was going to comment, since the article says there is a comment section, but I could not find it. I guess you have to sign up and I really do not want my name on their list.

I tend to agree with the other commentators on FP, the father might not be doing this for altruistic notions. Especially since an article on their same page talks about other children being abused by their parents.

That’s not Dad in those pictures. That’s the “makeup artist” that mom took the kid to, so she could turn her little boy into the girl she secretly always wanted. The “artist” just looks excited because he can’t wait to get the kid alone somewhere.

I know that is not his dad.
That’s why I asked, “Where’s dad?
“...........

I’m not sure that is the ‘dad’. The way I read it, that’s the makeup creep that painted the kid.

Child abuse is plainly relevant in all of these cases.

Putting aside the comment on how wrong it is to steer a prepubescent child down this path - I think the mom wants attention and is using the poor boy in a shameful manner to get it.

He hasn’t got a chance.

Yep.

What do the homos say?

"Sex before 8 or it's too late."

"Rewiring the motherboard".

I realized that after posting my comment. Article was so disturbing that I skimmed it-couldn’t look at it any longer. Mom is moronic to the point of being dangerous to her child.

I fiercely protect my kids from potential danger-do not hand them over to be used. Despicable.

Dress up AS a banana? What is wrong with the kid? He needs to BE a banana! I wonder if he can get his birth certificate changed in Illinois?

Munchhausen by Proxy Munchausen syndrome by proxy (MSBP) is a mental health problem in which a caregiver makes up or causes an illness or injury in a person under his or her care, such as a child, an elderly adult, or a person who has a disability. Because vulnerable people are the victims, MSBP is a form of child abuse or elder abuse.

Note: Since most cases of MSBP are between a caregiver (usually a mother) and a child, the rest of this topic will describe that relationship. But it is important to remember that MSBP can involve any vulnerable person who has a caregiver.

Sadly I have some of this in my family. An eight year old great nephew who dyes his hair blue and wears finger nail polish and tiaras. His 41 y/o mother is very accepting and supportive of this though the rest of the family is not. His father, my nephew, has been uncomfortably quiet about the whole thing. We know mom has guilt issues because after he was born they did the Mr. Mom thing for a year because mom had the much better paying job. She has made it publicly clear to him in front of family members that people have the right to be whoever they want (unless you are a Christian conservative). It’s an issue causing a lot turmoil in the family.

At eight the boy is flighty, over emotional, very thin and I would say pretty for a boy. The perfect target for homosexual perverts to come after. We hope this doesn’t happen, but his mother is setting him up for just that. She is a big support of the whole LBGT agenda.

For the record both parents are college educated, well paid professionals who were raised in good Christian homes, but who came out of college very anti religious and liberal.

The child has sick parents in my opinion.

Reason and particularly reason with respect to moral values is being kicked to the curb as far as legitimacy, replaced by “feelings” as the only supreme “truth” anyone has, and that as a truth they, nor anyone else, should deny the full expression of.

Adam and Eve honored their feelings and denied what their reason knew G-d had taught them.

Civilization has been a process of humans learning to put personal and social controls on “feelings” as individual justification for actions.

You can see where this is headed.

Too much unsupervised time in front of the tv.. otherwise no “child” would even know what a drag queen is.

Rule in my house was, no tv until you are a competent reader... typically around age 8 I allowed a little bit of tv time.

As a side benefit... my kids had no idea “what” the in toys were. I hate plastic toys, so they were given wooden toys, puzzles, board games and stuffed animals, which sparked imaginative play instead.

This is simply politically correct child abuse. The parents are an obscenity at best but probably worse.

“Do you support your children in whatever choices they make?”

No, the job of a parent is to exercise good judgement on behalf of their children who are not equipped to do so themselves. That means NOT supporting them when they make stupid decisions like this.

Yeah, I feel lucky if I get trousers to wear
Spend evenings taking hairpins from my hair

I'm a boy, I'm a boy
But if I say I am, I get it"

Did all this, it didn’t help. Have one who is a girl who thinks she is a boy. Mental illness is a terrible thing.
