The streamer is teaming with Amblin Television and Warner Bros. Animation to revive the animated series with Steven Spielberg on board to exec produce.
Twenty years after it wrapped its run on The WB Network, Hulu, Warner Bros. Animation and Amblin Television are reviving Peabody Award-winning animated comedy Animaniacs with a two-season, straight-to-series order at Hulu.
Under the deal, the streamer has also landed the library rights to Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, the subsequent Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain and the complete Tiny Toon Adventures collection. Those episodes are available to stream now, with the new Animaniacs set to begin rolling out in 2020 in what Hulu is billing as its first original series made specifically for families.

Hello nurse!
Never heard of it...Why is it a big deal?
Funny show but from what I am hearing about Spielberg, I dont really want him earning one more penny.
Not a big deal for me but I watched this in high school. Id rather see season 2 of Thundercats which got the axe 5 years ago.
Love Pinky and the Brain! This is good news indeed!
Wuh, I think so Brain, but burlap chafes me so!
When they added Elmyra, that ruined it for me.
It was probably done to make the show more appealing to kids (possibly girls in particular), but they lost the geeks.
Pinky and the Brain were better than the Warner Brothers and their sister Dot.
If the writing and cast are up to par with the original, I’m all for it.
As the parent of a teenage daughter I used to appreciate the Katie Kaboom character as well. Our daughter absolutely hated it when we pointed out some similarities between her and Katie.
Elmyra lost me too.
Chicken Boo and Slappy Squirrel were very funny.
I actually found myself digging the new DuckTales, so might as well give this reboot a try even though I was a teen when it debuted.
I still like to say “heeeeelllllooo nurse” in my car... safe from a catcalling lawsuit, that is to say.
Never heard of it...Why is it a big deal?
It also included great sub-characters lie Slappy Squirrel, a female retired, smoking and drinking 40’s cartoon character taking care of her nephew. On of my favorite lines after he drones on is, “Interesting. Monotonous, yet repetative.”
Wuh, I think so Brain, but burlap chafes me so!
Are pondering what I’m pondering?

I had three daughters at the time. One teen and two pre-teen.
Thanks. The last era when I watched cartoons (paying 10-cents admission at the movie theater) was in the early 1940’s. As I remember, mostly black and white...
The old cliche “They don’t make cartoons like that anymore” didn’t apply to Animaniacs. It was like the old classic Warner cartoons brought back to life in the 90s.
Absolutely fantastic cartoon. One of my all-time favorites. Smart writing. Mostly great animation.
My Mom tried to forbid me from watching it as a kid because of all the adult humor. I didn’t get it at all. What’s the big deal?
I recently re-watched the entire series on Netflix, and oh boy....was she right!
Can’t wait to see this!
