Most adults would like to think school has left them equipped for most things that life throws at them.
But a particularly tricky IQ test has left internet users stumped, pushing their mathematical and linguistic skills to the limit.
Jumping right in at the deep end with a complicated numerical question, the Playbuzz quiz is certainly not for the fainthearted.
Try your hand at the quiz to see how you score, and scroll down to the bottom for answers (no cheating!)

Does this test remind anyone else of the old tests we had to take to get jobs in the computer field?
Later
Testy no worky.
When I was working in C++ back in the 90s, one of my team made up a C++ test for job candidates. There were 20 questions, and most of the applicants could answer only 2 or 3 of them correctly. Every once in a while, somebody would answer all 20 correctly.
Then we had to interview him further, to make sure he wasn’t too crazy....
I DESTROYED the test using THIS ONE WEIRD TRICK!

The question that asks if cases hold 28 shoes each and you have to pack 112 shoes, how many cases do you need does not offer the correct answer in the choices. The correct answer is 4 cases, because 4x28=112. So is the test a phony or is the correct answer none of the above (which is not given as a choice).
I've participated in many of those, I am proud to say I usually got the "no one ever finished it all before" result...
But I'm not crazy.
They used to say I wuz crazy... but I showed 'em.... I SHOWED 'EM ALL!!
PAIRS of shoes. Start with 224, not 112.
You’ve got a giant genius brain!
Pickled in cranberry sauce.
One of my dear friends told me that I think at a slant. It took her a good 15 min of being with me after a separation to be able to follow my mental meanderings. So I used that in my query letter for screenplays. I think we should all roll and revel in our craziness. It’s a gift we offer to others to keep them amused.
Must be the new maths.
However -26 - -37 is 11 and the correct answer is given as -63.
I had a C+ average in college!
I got -63.
Because you were deep into far more fascinating things and probably learned more on your own.
Oops!!
Read it again.
There is at least 1 incorrect answer on it.
-26 - - 37 = 11.
