Forensics indicate without a doubt that those two dogs attacked and killed her? Pardon me but I somehow disbelieve that. There were lurid stories circulating that they were eating her body when police arrived too. Do you believe that? I don’t.

Former boyfriend, hispanic. She’d recently broken off with him, gotten engaged to another guy.

Yup, they loved her to death. I doubt she was in complete bond with them. IIRC, she had been absent from them and was not on a day today contact with them. She decided to take them both for a walk. Many different things can set off a terrier, especially a pit bull. Something as simple as a squeal if she had tripped and fell or trying to get between the two if they had a dust up. We will never know what caused them to snap, but they did and she is dead.

"Forensics indicate without a doubt that those two dogs attacked and killed her? Pardon me but I somehow disbelieve that."

“I observed, as well as four other deputy sheriffs observed,” Agnew said, then paused before continuing, “the dogs eating the rib cage on the body.”

When dogs kill or maim in this country, they are overwhelmingly likely to be some form of pit bull.

It is simply irresponsible to have them as “pets” or “protection”.

There is something wrong with your understanding of pit-bull pets.

I’ve been exposed to them and am not prone to hysteria regarding them. To people who want them all exterminated, that sounds as if there’s “something wrong” with my understanding. Yes there are unstable, aggressive dogs and pit bulls lead the pack, with drug dealers and wannabe bad-asses. Those dogs have been bred by unscrupulous backyard breeders who actually want aggression. Those are the minority however. Victor, the dog on the old RCA logo was a pit bull. Petey on Little Rascals and Our Gang was a pit bull. I’m just not hysterical about it as so many are, including you apparently.

The article said here torso and arms were chewed not eaten. It’s appears to be all too common. One small boy here in our town was severely mauled by his lovely pit bull. The dog ate away muscle in his calves. Handicapped for life.

When they go native it’s dangerous.

Again you are quite mistaken re:

1) https://www.newyorker.com/culture/culture-desk/the-wrong-dog

2) that because all pit bulls don’t kill they are as a breed safe around people. And they were bred to kill long before we had modern drug dealers.

Pit bull control acvocates, sound a lot like gun control advocates. It is always the objects fault, never the humans behind the incident; in this case the breeder and the owner.

Pit bull owners often tend to be ex-convicts who can’t legally possess firearms. They keep the pit bulls as weapons.

Nipper was a mix terrier - closer to a Jack Russell than a pit bull.

Yup that’s what they say. He had several owners but the last was the guy who painted HIS MASTERS VOICE.
Genius!
