CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King on Tuesday urged her best friend Oprah Winfrey to run against Donald Trump in 2020. King even absurdly insisted she could stay on at CBS and cover the race “impartially.” The co-host, it turns out, has been lobbying her friend to run for months. On the show, King pleaded, “But I also think you have a unique ability in terms of healing and connecting all people.”
King even cited the late poet Maya Angelou, pleading to Winfrey: “What do you think Maya would say? It's one of these times I wish Maya was here. What do you think that she would say?”
After all this, King disputed the idea that a potential Winfrey run might compromise her as co-host of CBS This Morning:
GAYLE KING: Somebody told me you'd have to leave your job at CBS. I said, "Why do I have to leave my job at CBS?"
OPRAH WINFREY: I think you might.
KING: No, I don’t. I could be very impartial. I could be very impartial.
It’s possible King was joking on that last point, but given how aggressively she’s promoted a Winfrey run, maybe not. On February 15, King revealed that she was pushing her liberal friend to oppose Trump since before Winfrey’s famous Golden Globes speech.
Of course, CBS has never seen a problem for King to support Democrats and then talk to politicians on This Morning. In 2012, she attended a fundraiser for Barack Obama’s reelection. Who also was there? Winfrey. On August 6, 2016, King attended Obama’s 55th birthday party.
On February 18, CBS’s 60 Minutes gave Winfrey a platform to quiz voters on Trump’s mental fitness.

Trump made his money via his personal hard work, his intellect, and his no-nonsense approach to negotiating and dealing with friends and opponents. He knows what makes industry tick.
Oprah made her money via her personal hard work, and her exploitation of people’s emotions (in the racial, sexual, and class warfare aspects) to buy into whatever she was selling. Oprah understands what makes current day entertainment tick.
Two very different things.
That Oprah, apart from her sex and her skin color has far more in common with a divisive and racist politician like Obama than she has with any other successful or unsuccessful President should surprise no one.
Isn’t something like this a violation of their Broadcasting licence? Using the network to favor one political candidate over another without being reported as a paid political advertisement?
Yeah, yeah, yeah...Obama was supposed to “heal and connect people” too...and you see what happened.
In most cases, at all levels, black politicians are for blacks ONLY. When they say “the American people”, they mean the “African-American people”.
It’s in their DNA, and it’s’ how they’re raised, blaming and hating whitey.
Some, like oprah, have developed a smooth line to partically hide their prejudice, but it’s there, none the less.
Oprah isn’t even good box office.
She’s toast.
Actually, this just might be an attempt to goose said lousy box office.
Yeah, good luck with that.
Too soon for another racial healer.
So maybe it isn't God who talks to Oprah. maybe its the ghost of Maya Angelou...
At least she said it's what she thinks, instead of simply stating it as if it is a fact, or saying its how she "feels"...
The country that elected an America-hating marxist muzzy of doubtful gender might just elect an America-hating ugly-a$$ airhead with a TV presence.

Our current president has five kids from three wives and is being sued by a porn star. Not really sure if criticism of personal lives and families is justified under the current circumstances.
Oprah talks to God. That’ll go over with the radical lib base like the proverbial lead ballon.
Why on Earth would Winfrey want the job? That would be my question.
