Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi issued this statement after President Trump fired his Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and announced CIA Director Mike Pompeo as his replacement:
“Secretary Tillerson’s firing sets a profoundly disturbing precedent in which standing up for our allies against Russian aggression is grounds for a humiliating dismissal. President Trump’s actions show that every official in his Administration is at the mercy of his personal whims and his worship of Putin.
“It is no wonder that the President has trouble attracting high-caliber people to his Administration when he undercuts and humiliates those he supposedly respects.
“Whenever Tillerson’s successor goes into meetings with foreign leaders, his credibility will be diminished as someone who could be here today and gone tomorrow. Continuity in our diplomatic personnel and policies are vital for championing American security, values, and interests.
“Tillerson’s successor must approach the grave threat of Russian foreign aggression with the seriousness and urgency that it demands. As Director Pompeo has stated, he has ‘every expectation’ Russia will attack our democracy again. America must be ready.”
He knows how it works and won't be shedding any tears.
Trump admitted he likes the guy and that he's a good administrator but they just disagreed on too many policies that Trump wanted to push and Tillerson counseled against.
Even with Tillerson's denial of knowing why he was canned, he knew this was coming. Besides, Trump doesn't need a reason.
Trump's a well-seasoned businessman so he fired him. In Trump and Tillerson's world, no big deal.

Pelosi’s statement reinforces the idea that when Republicans comment on some topic, they usually say what they really think, in their own words; Dems, on the other hand, always respond with outlandish, scripted talking points.
American politics need not be an afternoon marxist soap starring Pelosi and Schumer etc. We are talking about the safety, security and progress of not just America, but Western man.... (which Hillary and Obama were trying to destroy, globally)
