Time For Class Action Suits Against School Districts Promoting Protests-MisUse of Public Monies

Posted on 03/15/2018 8:29:29 PM PDT by Be Careful

Obviously, the NEA is now on steroids and working overtime. It has found a 'hook' to create National strife and to promote a political view........If anyone has heard of any cogent legal claim against such activity on a local level, I would love to hear about it so I can begin to organize my local response to our education districts that just just allowed their students to walk out and protest against gun violence....they need to be sued for wrongful use of public monies.

Yes, there were numerous school districts disallowing student walk out or penalizing them for walking out. Search the interent. I am sorry I didn’t keep track of them.

I did read that only 3000 high schools had some students walking out. One HS had only one.

There was no school in much of MA-——snow——and I’m sure the kids were not happy about that.

The problem goes much deeper than the union.

The root cause of our school problems is that we have a single payer socialized education industry. We should go back to a free market capitalist school industry.

Instead of schools being government indoctrination centers where classroom bureaucrats and administrative bureaucrats mostly think and act like bureaucrats in any bureaucracy and indoctrinate rather than educate.

The single payer socialized system by its’ very existence plants the idea that socialism is the preferred system for society to provide essential services. One can see that in the arguments for socialized medicine. The arguments proponents put forward in favor of socialized medicine are the same arguments used to defend socialized schooling.

Government schools have no place in a free society.

At the very least any school permitting students to walk out to protest school safety, or whatever it is they’re protesting, should require all those walking to attend a pre-protest assembly, during which they would be forced to listen to accounts of the many failures which led to the Parkland disaster - the FBI’s failure to follow up on complaints about Cruz’s threats made to them, the mental health system’s failure to provide adequate evaluation and supervision of this obviously troubled youngster, the local police failure to storm the shooting scene and take out the killer as soon as they could have - this might help the kids see what happened with a bit more balance - and even persuade some to forget about walking.....

Not only that, but the problem of school shootings would vanish overnight. Parents can pay for the schools that have their own security.

You are right. Not only that but people could send their kids to schools that allowed prayer or to schools that didn’t.

Haven’t heard - dropped off the local TV news screens - I’d guess it probably turned out OK for him - otherwise we would have heard more - he seemed to have a lot of support among the students and parents....

A public junior high school in Anaheim invited students with absences to come on a district sponsored trek to the Women’s March. The district (taxpayers) funded the buses and staff accompanied the students. The district then recouped ADA monies for those students since they had made up their absences. Not sure if district employees were paid to “escort students” to the March. No, they don’t sponsor treks to conservative events.

ADA money is also recouped if students come on Saturdays to attend school...they make up their lost education days by doing fun activities like candle making. The district gets paid because the students are in the seats. The goal is to make the days lots of fun so more kids will attend...and the district will get more money. Getting a real education... not so much.

Lots of teachers and staff who voluntarily work 9 or 10 month jobs also apply for unemployment during the summer, though they are actually employed.

All of this is on the taxpayers’ dime. So, what aspect of schools’ foolishness and fraud do you want to sue over?

I prayed the students would stop being emotional and realize they should be defended by guns from assailants with guns. I pray our leaders will use common sense and logic rather than succumb to the media onslaught. I pray schools will no longer be gun free zones where only criminals carry guns on campus.

I pray that Obama’s policy of trying to reduce blacks in jail by having schools not report crimes committed by students will be overturned. Had that been done Trayvon Martin and the 17 in Florida would still be alive. The FBI should do their jobs as well as the sheriffs when people report risky behavior and murder ideation.

We defend airline passengers, banks, emergency rooms, and malls with guns. Children fly and go to hospitals and malls and banks with their parents. Don’t we love our school children enough to do the same?

That number was published on Fox and I think AP BEFORE the walkouts started. Claimed coverage all the way to Hawaii, as if kids are at school at 5 a.m.

...”Government schools have no place in a free society.”...

The lawsuits against the improper use of tax payer money to indoctrinate our children and foment national unrest should be started immediately.

I notice in the TV coverage that there are armed police - with guns - accompanying most of these kids’ groups on their anti-gun romps - how much more insane can this country become?.....
