The reality is that Israel and Netanyahu in particular has badly misread the trajectory of Russias re-engagement in the Middle East, which has created in the very kindest interpretation the context for Irans projection of its influence ever further west and ever closer to Israels borders.

Israel is in a battle of survival surrounded by hostile neighbors. Liberal news media creates lots of clickbait to get people to look at their advertisers in an attempt to stay in business.
