University of Pennsylvania Law School Professor Amy Wax is scheduled to be the guest interviewee tonight at 8:00 EDT on C-Span's weekly "Q&A" program. Wax scandalized the intellectual community a few years back by writing that many of the problems we have in the culture today, including much poverty, results from our abandonment of the "bourgeois standards" of the 1950's - such norms as two parent families, rigorous education, and hard work. But she really stepped in it last year when she observed that Affirmative Action in education had resulted in a lowering of teaching standards and admission of poorly qualified students to educational institutions. She stated as "simply factual" that no black student had ever graduated in the top quarter of the class at Penn Law, and few ever were in the top half of their class. Of course all fury broke lose throughout academia and beyond at such "racist" opinions, and eventually Wax was removed from teaching her required first-year course at the law school. The inimitable Brian Lamb will be asking the questions as Professor Wax discusses her thinking and experiences.
Isn’t it FORMER professor? The Dean suspended her from teaching after her article surfaced and the SJW Left went bezerk.

True that. It is to the point that if you voted for Trump you should be very careful who you tell. The days of exciting & intelligent debate and conversation, when people actually respected a political difference, are over.

I think she’s still teaching non-required courses at the school so that those who are “offended” by her don’t have to be subjected to her terrible opinions, as they claimed they were when she taught the required first-year class......

Very true. Even if a professor is suspected to have voted for Trump, the ostracizing begins.
There are still a few, old school, “honest” liberals left who are secure enough in their convictions that they can tolerate disagreement, but they themselves are being targeted by the Antifafa Nazis, even more so than the conservatives.
Thank you for the heads up! She got the shaft. Wish she would sue, like Prof. Mike Adams did for viewpoint discrimination at UNC-Wilimington. It took him seven years and multiple appeals, but he won.
