PARIS A new set of eco-friendly but completely exposed urinals deployed on the streets of Paris are provoking uproar from locals.
One of the bright red urinoirs installed on the Ile Saint-Louis, not far from Notre Dame Cathedral and overlooking tourist boats passing on the Seine, has caused particular indignation.
Locals have written to the town hall to demand its removal and are planning a petition.
Theres no need to put something so immodest and ugly in such an historic spot, said Paola Pellizzari, 68, owner of a Venetian art store.

Why charge the taxpayers for urinals? In San Fransicko people just p and sheet right out on the streets. Much cheaper. Lets the corruptoid politicians pocket the money too. Better all around. /s
What do the women do?

“Theres no need to put something so immodest and ugly in such an historic spot.”
Uh, there are groups of things ugly in historic spots now in Paris.
Really ugly.
Sounds like the French are being culturally ‘enriched’.
“Pissoir” ... one of France’s greatest inventions, alongside the Guillotine. But never mix the two.
I would be too. Fortunately, it isn’t happening any time soon in the small town I moved to in Kentucky. :)
Those Parisians are so provincial.
They can’t do squat. Or maybe they do.
This completes the picture I got when I visited Paris back in 2006 and 2007. I came away from my visits thinking that Paris was really no different than New York, other than the buildings being older. Now they’ve added the smell of p*ss to the air, to mingle with the car fumes, why waste your money going all the way to Paris when you can have the same atmosphere and smell by visiting New York.
I’ve often wondered why San Fran
doesn’t deploy port-a-potties on
every street corner, in the worst
affected areas. Except, that the
homeless would make them portable
shelters.

I thought they deployed self-cleaning toilets years ago. Why this open ones? Maybe just let this pee at the curb or on wall corners and door frames like is normal in San Francisco.
Good one!

Oh come on. You know it’s fart.
