I’m SO glad princess Serena lost this one! She seems pretentious to me. I don’t see why so many of those New York people seem to love her, as she’s all gracious and smiles when things are going her way, but resorts to whining and playing the female card when she breaks the rules and gets called for it. And too bad for all the elite feminist women they kept showing in the stands, who were all for Serena. Did you see her twirling her skirt like a fairy tale princess after she won the semis the other day? She had to twirl around twice, in opposite directions, making her skirt spin out in the process.

Impressive dominance Naomi! She’s of Haitian-Japanese descent, and holds dual legal citizenship in Japan and the USA. Today’s win was reminiscent of a 19 year old girl we saw in late 1990’s by the name of Serena Williams. With amazing quickness, the best serve in women’s tennis and the mental focus of a champ, Ms. Osaka should be #1 for at least a decade. 83254_C96_9_EC8_4_C20_BB82_3_F1_B19667_AC4

Watched it all. You are correct that Serena was being outplayed. She had to do something to disrupt Osaka who was in a groove. Serena’s outbursts, including smashing her racquet, was a combination of frustration and gamesmanship. She was trying to rattle the 20 year old and take her out of her rhythm.

Serena is the greatest woman tennis player of all time, but sportsmanship has never been her forte. She is a sore loser who hates to give credit to her opponent. This loss will be blamed on the umpire. Serena is still out of shape from giving birth. She will win several more majors.

Today was a disgrace due not only to Serena, but also, to the boorish fans who made Serena the victim and failed to acknowledge properly Osaka’s amazing performance. Osaka is more American than Japanese, the daughter of an American father and Japanese mother. They live in FL.

Osaka has tremendous potential, but she is not ready to be #1. The Open is only the second tournament she has ever won. And her record has been lackluster. She matches up well with Serena whom she has beaten twice.

Let’s hope she builds on this win. A very humble and refreshing athlete. It was very sad to see her almost feel ashamed that she won given the incessant booing from the fans.

True, but this is what I don’t get — why the near hero worship coming from the US Open fans for Serena? She has a history of whining and complaining when things dont’t go well for her. I thought Osaka showed all the class and I don’t see why fans couldn’t show her more support.

It does not help that the announcers absolutely FAWN over Serena - Chrissy Evert had a mournful tone when Serena tanked today and she (Evert) sounded like a sore Hillary voter on Election Night 2016.

I do think breaking the racket today was gamesmanship after losing the 1st set, attempting to rattle the less-experienced Osaka. Backfire, haha!

Today Serena pulled the “female” card, back when she blamed a hospital for not sooner diagnosing a blood clot after she gave birth, it was racism.

Serena is typical African-American in many ways. She tried to overpower the umpire with rants but he did not fold and stayed his ground as is his right as an umpire.

In America, A-A’s are used to being rewarded for whining and protests. Serena assumed by accusing umpire of being unfair, she would be rewarded.

It’s their m.o. to a tee. I know, I taught them for years. I never backed down either.

She was rewarded by the crowd and by the time she asked for restraint, they had already offended the winner with their immature booing.
But I agree, she was expecting the officials to fold. Ha!

Kids raised in America by Asian parent usually are more respectful of elders. That is just the culture effect.

Almost every spelling bee is won by kids whose parents are first generation immigrants from India, which is in south Asia. Do many people know Turkey is part of Asia as well?

I closely observed her behavior, her thinking, and perspective.

IMHO, it’s a rigged play on her behalf.

It appears to be an intentional rigging of the events and reporting to lure a ‘sucker punch’ from the umpire.

Please note, underlying theme in this charade is to promote legitimate authority to be replaced by rebellious parties who refuse to respect legitimate authority, then make false assertions and then claim they have been wronged, when they are discovered of exercising illegitimate behavior.

Same theme as BLM, as Fake News, as Democrats opposing Kavenaugh, Kaepernick taking a knee to try and take down the NFL, etc.

The entire event begins with a warning by the umpire, being given to Serena for her receiving aid from her coach while engaged in the match (he was giving hand signals to Serena).

Note: Later interviews with Serena’s coach on ESPN recorded his emphatic admission that he was very much coaching Serena from the sidelines and performed with full intention to coach her while she was playing.

So the first warning of the umpire the coach, not only was proper, but as evidenced by the coach, was veritable. The coach then tells the reporter, a defense that “it happens all the time on the men’s circuit, so he didn’t see anything wrong with it”. Please note: This claim of illegitimate behavior always happens by the men, is first asserted by Serena and her coach, without anybody else mentioning it or even being aware of it. This enters into the sport politic an acceptance of a false narrative, “the officials aren’t enforcing the same rules for men as they are for women so enforcing the other rules just isn’t fair to the violator”.

Please note, the coach and Serena are spearated, not supposedly communicating, but both “out of the blue” assert this “sexist bias” agenda when they are called on violating rules of the game.

It doesn’t stop there.

Serena now goes ahead and in a moment of supposed angst, destroys her racket on the ground, takes it to the bench and lays it out in prominent display. Her thinking is purely in arrogance, boldly broadcasting her violation of the rules.

Umpire takes his time, affords her many a chance to compose, then calls a point against her for the second infraction. A very clear cut infraction. A proper call by the umpire.

Now Serena begins to try and start an argument with the umpire. She claims her edict in response to the first warning, removed any authority of the warning and that the umpire should apolize to her and say he was sorry for issuing the warning. In her arrogant frame of mind, she then proceeds to deman an apology, then when the umpire refuses to accept her as the court authority, she then unilaterally demands he not say anything to her.

Please note, in both cases she fails to respect legitimate authority. She further manifests her arrogance by insinuating the legitimate authority is lying and is a thief by denying her a point and stealing from her. She later continues this rebellion from legitimate authority by declaring the umpire would never again officiate on “her court”. Technically the owner of the court is the umpire who gives the players permission to begin play. The Players don’t own the court and give the umpire authority to officiate over the game.

Now the ESPN commentators and many spectators begin to applaud Serena in a surreal circus, where most people aren’t hearing everything and Serena acting like a spoiled Prima Dona, pouting as though she is being wronged and made to suffer without any fault.

Later when Serena is penalized a game for her verbal accusations of the umpire as being a thief and stealing from her and continuing to bait the judge, demanding he apologize to her for her contrived claims of being wronged, and even when the umpire is tactful and doesn’t argue, she then demands he not say anything to obey her command of the court and then calls him a thief,...then the umpire makes the third penalty to Serena. She then pretends she has nothing to deserve such penalty and acts as though she is being martyred.

Interestingly, Serena contradicted herself from the beginning when warned about coaching. She’s goes into a long rant about how she understands how the judge might have mistakenly perceived the hand gestures by her coach as a method of coaching, but then says he probably didn’t understand, then asserts his gestures had explicit meaning to continue on with her play.

In parallel, the coach outside of Serena’s hearing, was interviewed by ESPN and he insisted he was coaching intentionally as the men did it. Parallel to this comment but independently in the heat of arguing with the umpire and the officials, Serena also brings up the claim of sexism and unfair enforcement of the rules on women compared to men.

Now, parallel to this entire affair, in Chicago, there have been claims that some $700 million in court settlements have been made against the city and law enforcement claiming sexism and racial prejudice in the enforcement of the law. It has become a cottage industry with payoffs in the legal system and Deep State within State and City bureaucracies.

IMHO, there is a corrupt criminal agenda to go after any perceived deep pocket by feigning prejudice and seeking reparation.

IMHO, the entire Serena affair is a con job and the ESPN press and many in the stadium were in on the con.

None of them care if they destroy the sport or industry. They are extortion artists first and continue to degenerate in their thinking and behavior.

I thought Osaka showed all the class and I don’t see why fans couldn’t show her more support.

Serena is a liberal icon. She raised the treatment of women during her diatribe against the umpire. She supports Colin K and his kneeling. Liberals are always victims or the defenders of victims. These are NYC fans.

Maybe Serena saw this as her career transition to full-time SJW, but I think it’s even simpler; she was counting on all the drama to unnerve Osaka in her first grand slam final - and I’d bet on it working against the majority of inexperienced opponents. You see a racket smashed, the crowd starts to murmur or jeer, and next thing you know, Serena’s run the table on you.
