The Best Speech I've Seen at the U.N. (or nearly ever)
vanity | 9/25/18 | self

I just watched The President speak to the U. N.

To me it was a brilliantly direct, tasteful, and meaningful speech.

By far it was the greatest speech he ever made.

He showed great love and respect for the peoples of the world's countries and he kept the center of attention on sovereignty and nations.

Never did he hit a poor note.

Simply, Donald J. Trump was brilliant, and I love the guy even more than ever. And I love God for giving our President the grace he had today.

Comments on the speech ..... if you have them.

The MSM-Democrat Cabal will denounce it as the greatest embarrassment in the history of the United States. ..............

SeeBS, immediately following, said he was boastful and bragging and eliciting laughs.

Praise God. And now we pray for more grace and blessing to be upon Judge Kavanaugh’s path to confirmation. The Supreme Court is a cornerstone of our sovereign nation.

If you think this thread should be in a more prominent place on the site .... please move it.

I think the President was brilliant today, and I wish everyone will see it eventually.

He made himself an even better President and leader today.

Excellent speech. Trump told it exactly as it is. That’s one of the qualities I like about President Trump. He speaks directly.

I agree on all points. But perhaps the best thing about his speech is that it will likely render the leftist, globalist media and politicos apoplectic.

It was a good speech but I could say that about the first State of the Union speech. He has a good team to write these speeches.

We will never surrender American sovereignty to an unelected...global bureaucracy. America’s governed by Americans. We reject the ideology of globalism & we embrace a doctrine of patriotism. - President Trump

I loved how he called out socialism as being a failure. Liberal heads must have exploded.

His quirky usage of the English language is probably very difficult to translate accurately.

I wonder if Stephen Miller wrote this speech?

A Harvard faculty member who was a US Ambassador just said that Trump liked countries that were authoritarian like Saudi Arabia, POLAND, and ISRAEL. Nick Burns on CNBC did everything he could to hate on Trumps speech.

I wish Trump would explain why globalism is so bad. It is bad. But he needs to explain that globalism is the enemy of democracy. When politicians go global, they leave their democratic shackles. They get government billion dollar budgets (mostly from America), but they never have to stand for election. Globalism is post democratic. Its a leech on democratic governments by a class of individuals who are accountable to no one, but are just as susceptible to corruption as any New Jersey politician.

I thought the substance was great, but President Trump didn’t seem to have a good handle on the teleprompter. He wasn’t very smooth at all and didn’t have his usual passion in it.

To me it looked like he has been burning it at both ends for too long. That’s ok...they get the points. One thing about President Trump...he doesn’t nip around the edges...you know what he is saying and what he means....crystal clear!
