I’m in favor of dropping the provisional ballot as a voting option.

God must have loved the stupid and illegal voters because He made so many of them.

If we take out the stupid voters hen the GOP would every election.

And Maxine and Pelosi and Schiff would have to retire to corporate boards and living off money earned by favors.

What you said is true but the rabbit hole is so deep the rabbit will win anyway and most will be none the wiser, regrettably

I am beginning to believe that a Provisional Ballot = a STUPID or ILLEGAL Voter.

In most cases - probably yes.

But not always.

If you are a legitimate voter and find out at the polls on election day that a democrat scammer
has already submitted a mail in ballot in your name your only option is to file a provisional ballot challenging the bogus ballot.

It happens very often exactly like that.

Even that doesn't guarantee your vote will count because it will be people like Brenda Snipes who decide which ballot
is accepted and which ballot is rejected.

And often they are election scammers themselves.

Very few provisional ballots should ever be counted.

Every state decides. And don’t forget the other option: provisional voters are lazy.

Easy fix: Show Up and Vote.
Active military is the only exception.

One day.
24 hours.

Out of town? Tough shiite.
Sick? Too effin bad.

SSN for ID.
Clean the roles every year.
Didn’t vote last year? Need to re-register.

It’s easy to do right, if one actually cares to do it right.

Vlad is right -- not always. I had to do a "provisional ballot" once. I went to the polling place with a voter card from the previous election. The workers looked through all their books and could not find my name. So they gave me a provisional ballot.

I was very suspicious of the whole thing. But when I got home I looked in the corner where I toss this sort of mail, and saw that this year I was in a different state representative district. The politicians had redrawn the border lines.

About nine months later, I got a letter from the board of elections that my provisional vote had been counted. I was pleasantly surprised.

Do you really want information on voter fraud!

First thing tomorrow in those areas suspect, have on billboards, radio and TV. Cash reward for information on voter fraud. Completely confidential, and we pay cash for information that leads to an arrest or conviction. The dollar amount needs to be significant. People talk when they have a secret and secrets will get around.

This needs all out on the radio, television, billboards since timing is crucial.

If you changed your address with the DMV and requested the County Board be notified and they were not , you vote provisional.

If you voted mail in 2016 NJ under new law sent you a mail in. But if you arrived at polling place you filled provisional.

If the signature sample in voter rolls in missing , vote Provisional

If you arrive at correct polling place and your name is missing you vote Provisional

There were quite a few long term residents that have voted every election whose Names mysteriously Disappeared from the Voter Roles when I voted. They all filled out Provisional Ballots. This is in California so they were probably shredded

The solution to this voting madness is simple. Prove your citizenship and register to vote a reasonable time ahead of an election. Actual voting occurs only on election day, in person, and then only after proper identification is presented. The only exception is verifiable and certifiable absentee voting prior to election day. No early voting and no so-called provisional ballots allowed. It should be and could be just that simple.

The moronic electric in Maryland just voted overwhelmingly to allow full voter registration on Election Day

Absolutely freaking stupid.
