Michelle Obama's "Becoming" has become a massive hit. Crown Publishing told The Associated Press Wednesday that the former first lady's memoir has sold more than 1.4 million copies in all formats in the U.S. and Canada in the seven days since it was released Nov. 13. Based on demand from retailers across all channels, the publisher has printed 3 million hardcover copies in North America. On its first day, the book sold more than 725,000 copies, making it one of the year's biggest debuts.

Does anybody really believe that she is truly a bestseller, in the traditional sense of the term? That everyday citizens are buying this because they want to read what she has to say?

I don't. I believe it's a preplanned payback by those who benefited from largesse from the Obama administration in the form of subsidies (green companies), "shovel ready" funding (union payback), "investments in" fill in the blank (entitlement agencies and Planned Parenthood), overseas "aid" to countries hostile to the U.S. (Pakistan, et al), etc. etc.

When it comes to millions of dollars received by those in the government, elected or married to the elected, none of it is happenstance, spontaneous or organic. All of it was preordained by the actions of the elected for a later payoff.
