Only in America, would it seem prudent to replace a perfectly good person lying on their belly using the eyes that God gave them, with a deficient, massively expensive, video system that will probably down an airplane someday soon.
Or even the KC-10 way...seated and using a wide window and a few mirrors.
Funny how the EADS/Airbus KC-30A flown by the Royal Australian Air Force uses a remote refueling station and aren't having these issues.
