Guelph police say they’ve arrested a 61-year-old woman who allegedly injured a 71-year-old woman in a snow-shovelling fight.
They say the incident occurred Tuesday when two woman were shovelling snow from their cars in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Guelph, Ont.
Police allege the 61-year-old woman became upset about where the 71-year-old woman was dumping snow.
Guelph police say a fight ensued and the 71-year-old woman received a cut to her cheek and bruising to her wrists.
They say the woman did not need medical attention.
Police have charged the 61-year-old woman with assault.

This has the makings of a reality show. People might like to see a good snow shovel duel weekly.
But don’t give the governor of Virginia any ideas - he’ll be whacking the unwanted newborns with a snow shovel.

I finally got a plow to come for the driveway (this is coming to you live from out in the boonies) which left me just a few hundred pounds of snow to move to back the car off the pad into the plowed area. I was going to shovel a bit more than just the narrow walkway from the door to where the car was parked, but when my hands went numb inside the gloves, I gave it up and went inside, my exact words I won't post.
