How about equal justice for Republicans and Democrats. Then you can talk about coins.

They have way too much time on their hands.

Our worthless Government... hard at work and determined to foist a $1.00 coin off on a population that has repeatedly and overwhelmingly rejected it.

But building a wall to protect our country against invasion, terrorists and drugs is a little too tough for them to bother with. Who’s gonna be on a coin! Yeah! THAT’S more like it!

I say fire them all.

If ANYONE should be on currency it’s Reagan!!

Absolutely. The creator of ‘compassionate’
conservatism, as if conservatism alone is
too harsh for the snowflakes, is just one
reason to let this man slide into obscurity.

She's still with us.

As beautiful as ever.

Going for about $19 - $20 per coin, depending on where and how much you buy.

So no one in his right mind would spend one of the things in a store; i.e., put one in circulation.

I guess Lincoln is the ONE and only exception I would make to my earlier statement.

Yes, I get some folks opinion of Lincoln as an “imperial” president who exceeded his authority, and even some who consider him as having single handedly caused the civil war.

I get that but do not subscribe to all the ideas behind those opinions. At the end of the day, and I am not sure how else it could have been otherwise, we have a continent wide nation and as much strength and appreciation for our freedoms as can be found anywhere in the world. I cannot say I know that that outcome could not have been achieved differently, only that it was not. So, yes, I make an exception for Lincoln, for very possibly the nation the founders started may not have survived and grown. The conclusions from the civil war finally settled a debate that had persisted and made divisions within the nation since it’s founding - can a person be owned like property - and we know the answer.

It’s probably just a commemorative piece, a collctor’s proof coin only.

Not stated but likely that is all.

Not the same. Not a regular circulation coin. Meant for “collecting”, though serious collectors generally don’t care much about show pieces.

Yes about Reagan. No about the one who announced a NWO is coming. Against the will of Americans.

No way. I prefer the other poster who stated ONLY Washington. Much better than Lincoln or anyone.

Of course, I’d prefer they get rid of that God-awful official Stuart portrait on the dollar. The coin is better.

Why would a presidential bedwarmer be on a coin? It’s childish to put a first lady on a coin.

All deceased first ladies were honored along with their husbands in a separate mint issue not for circulation.

“The First Spouse Program under the Presidential $1 Coin Act authorizes the United States Mint to issue 1/2 ounce $10 gold coins and bronze medal duplicates to honor the first spouses of the United States. The Martha Washington coin was released on June 19, 2007, and was sold out in hours.”
