Hirsh Singh: Cory Booker’s Worst Nightmare; Republican Announces U.S. Senate Challenge for 2020
Shore News Network ^ | 4/24/2019 | Phil Stilton

ATLANTIC CITY-As Cory Booker’s race for the U.S. Presidency struggles to stay afloat, tensions rise in New Jersey as Republican contender and unapologetic Trump supporter Hirsh Singh filed with the Federal Election Commission and entered the fight for the 2020 U.S. Senate race. A millennial Indian American, engineer, and businessman, Singh has journeyed all throughout his home state of New Jersey, reinvigorating and rebuilding a Republican Party weakened by two years of losses.

Unlike Singh, Booker has long enjoyed the support of the old Democrat party establishment, as race after race was handed to him in exchange for his unquestioning obedience to the party and to the corporate interests which donate to his political campaigns year after year. In contrast, Singh earned his place amidst the rough and tumble grind of Jersey politics, battling his way through two challenging primaries to earn a thriving statewide grassroots movement growing behind him.

A welcome departure from the stereotypical “stuffed suit,” Singh has successfully captured the attention of the conservative, minority, and the young adult communities, critical fronts in the fast-approaching 2020 race for the New Jersey Senatorship. His appeal hasn’t gone unnoticed; many high-profile Republican leaders are stepping up to show their support.

Republican National Committeeman William Palatucci said “Hirsh has impressed me over the past two years as being serious about his policy views as well as his ability to be a candidate for public office. In many ways, Hirsh is the future of the Republican Party. His passion for public policy and desire to serve the state will impress many. He has my support.”

Looks like a lot of Cory Booker articles have been posted, lately, however I like this Hirsh Singh guy, certainly way more qualified then Cory Booker and his imaginary friend T-Bone.

Plus this guy is an engineer, and a Trump supporter, so I doubt we will here any embarrassing stories of driving from New Jersey to Hawaii.

It’s New Jersey. Any Republican running for the Senate in 2020 will have a mighty big hill to climb, especially when the presidential election will bring out Democrats in droves. Trump’s base in that state won’t be enough.

I am of the opinion that the Dems will be so far left by election day that the rank and file Dem voters will migrate to Trump.........

I believe that's wishful thinking on your part. They best that could happen is they stay home.

Yea, its a nightmare that he might have to face a GOP opponent during a general election????

Nonsense. Unless this guy has some extenuating circumstances, this is hardly a nightmare, but par for the course.. I hardly think any Democrat from a deep blue district is quaking at the prospect of having a republican on the ballot next November...

~~~
perhaps, but the going wisdom at the moment is that democrat candidates are currently racing each other to the far left to get the nomination, and then the winner will likely have to do a lot of flexing and twisting to try to win back the moderates that they alienated. You may be correct though, as their tack may be to stay mostly far left and just hope that being anti-trump will be enough to scare moderate democrats. I should think that 4 years of Trump not acting like the racist/misogynist/etc-ist will be enough for common sense to prevail, but never underestimate the power of a highly organized media to destroy common sense.
Not in New Jersey...
In the Midwest yes.. on the newengland/left coast, nope the D’s can’t go too far left to lose their support.
Cory Booker is less qualified to be in charge of anything than the rats that live in the garbage in NJ. HOWEVER, the people who elected him are dumber than dirt and too ignorant to do anything but vote Democrat. So when a truly qualified Republican candidate comes along in NJ don’t expect logic or common sense or even self interest to prevail because the voters there are too brain dead to understand any of that stuff.
This guy will be lucky to get 30% of the vote against Booker. Trump's agenda has very little support in New Jersey.
If the GOP couldn't beat a crooked bastard like Robert Menendez last year, they ain't beating Cory Booker even if God Himself ran against him.
That was why he lost
He ran as Bob Menendez without the child perversions
He DID NOT energize the Jersey Trump Base (yes it exists)
Remember Christie won this state, twice and he was the “Tea Party Candidate” according to our media at the time.
He is a smart man, engineer by trade
He is also a Trump supporter
Huggin ran against Trump and lost. Even Trump said Huggin should have won that race.
