I submit to you that you absorbed data about both Hillary and Trump over time.

Correct. Absorbed from the facts of the cases over time.
Not by any anonymous person's opinion. Or eloquence.

And you didn't do it by osmosis or mental telepathy.

Not all of it, no. Maybe 34%.

I won't waste my time on this earth keeping my opinion to myself.

I'm not suggesting that you should, I'm simply pointing out that
your opinion or mine, multiplied by millions cannot have changed
any more votes than did the opposition's opinions change
either of our votes.

And it all comes down to the votes.

Just a bit of anecdotal evidence...

My opinion is seldom shaped by anything I see on the ‘news’ as it’s all mostly lies anyway. But I was recently made aware of how much my opinions have been affecting other people.

I have a couple accounts on facebook that I keep pretty active (when they are not in facebook jail as they often are). I’ve had several people come up to me lately and express how my posts have made them look into matters more deeply and have changed their opinions on some things. Gently shifting people toward conservatism one opinion at a time. Some of these were legacy democrats having their eyes opened that the democrats of today are NOT their daddy’s democrats, and some were non-political people being nudged to become more conservatively active.

I can’t change the world, but I CAN change how one or two or a few people see the world.

So yes I do believe that our voiced opinions are important. (Which may be why mass media and the ‘social’ platforms keep trying to censor conservative thought so badly)

Sometimes fact and opinion are indistinguishable. In fact, opinions ARE facts. Everything is a fact, matter of fact, if you wanna get philosophical about it.

Not all of it, no. Maybe 34%.

🤪

I see your point, actually, but I'm not sure you're seeing mine. Maybe I'm not articulating properly.

People on our side and on their side arrived at their opinions SOMEHOW. We all have been influenced along the way to believe how we believe.

That's what I'm talking about. Whether it was Thomas Jefferson, Karl Marx, Bhudda, Roseanne Barr, Hannity, Maddow, or any number of "anonymous" opinions, including evil bloggers. Our opinions have been and are constantly being shaped and tweeked by new information.

And our individual opinions, multiplied by the millions does have an effect.

You give expressed opinions too little credit. Think globally.

Exactly.

Wikipedia-The Butterfly Effect.

(excerpt)

In chaos theory, the butterfly effect is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state.

I'll concede that there may be some kind of defective damaged people who might be swayed by media.

Maybe even swayed by threads or posts or "drops" on the interwebs.
Some folks is some simpletons, true story.

Here's a slide for you though:

Here comes Caleb Festus McTractor into the feed store.
You axe him if he's going to vote for Trump and he hollers
"Hell Yeah!".

Now you axe him about legions of cannibal pedovores and adrenochromes
and Hillary eats Haitian kids and he looks at you like you've
lost your mind. Is he now an enemy? A "quivering mass"?
Is he an idiot to be shunned and badmouthed?

Remember... he's "HELL YEAH" voting for Trump.

If you don't like him just be aware the Left doesn't like him either.

Just sayin'...

Caleb Festus McTractor is a real dude and he lives down in Crosby.

Now do it the other way.

Some sidewinder walks into the feed store. Caleb Festus McTractor is sittin' on the cracker barrel, as he's prone to do on a Sunday afternoon, whittlin' a stick.

Caleb asks the tenderfoot if he's votin' for Trump and the carpet bagger says, HELLS YEAH!

He goes on to mention that sex trafficking by the elite is a thing and the Clintons are involved in it on some level (including Haiti).

Cletus can't fathom no sucha thing. Is this yankee interloper now the enemy and a some kinda tard?

Keep in mind, the derps hate him as much as they hate you.

Maybe even swayed by threads or posts or "drops" on the interwebs.

Any man with the ability to think can be swayed.

If he can't, he is defective.

If a man couldn't be swayed, how did he get where he is in his thinking?

Ponder THAT one, if you dare.

I'ma have to axe Caleb Festus McTractor, because individual opinions matter.

Historically, (putting on my professorial glasses and bowtie)
the core believers and the common understanding of a thing
is considered to be the baseline. The norm, if you will.

Offshoots of that baseline are seen as heretical or deviant
and are usually subject to harsh objection and ridicule.

See the various branches of Christianity.

At the bottom of the pot though the two (or more) factions,
(still using Christianity as a model) have the same goal and
purpose in common. The differences are inconsequential in the end.

So now we have this Q business with all this Satanic stuff and
islands and swimming pools and ditches in New Mexico and dancing the Macarena
and that is supposed to be incorporated into the regular belief
system without any friction because some folks buy it?

Nothing has ever worked like that.
You can't call yourselves victims when there is some great
deviance from the norm (*Rush) because it is NORMAL for there
to be push-back against deviancy.

You can't claim to be victims when y'all are the ones what come up with the crazy new stuff.
Personally, I chalk it up to collective frustration.
Folks were mad about Obama and the Democrats so they
play this game where they imagine the worst things possible
about them... they is SATANISTS and they EAT KIDS and STEAL KIDS
and you know the rest. I'm sure it's cathartic. I think it's silly.

(Removes bowtie, tosses into trash can, opens new beer)

If y'all are pro-Trump then good on ya.
So are folks that don't buy the Q business.

It's us against them, not us against y'all.

and that is supposed to be incorporated into the regular belief system without any friction because some folks buy it?

But what if the regular belief system is wrong?

To play off your "Christian model" theme, yes, those "deviants" that broke from the early forms of the church were considered heretical. Were they wrong, or simply the minority? Minority doesn't equal wrong.

When everybody on earth believed the earth was flat, one guy stood up and said the earth was round. He was, at the time, considered a kook, a heretic, and a deviant. But was he wrong?

Truth is truth. Belief is not truth.

You can't call yourselves victims...

Oh, make no mistake. I don't consider "us" victims. I only point out truths when confronted with the "victim mentality" of your side. And it abounds.

I find it hilarious that "we" are considered the aggressors, trolls, name-callers, etc when the slings and arrows began on day one and continue to this day from those you call the adherents of "the normal belief system".

The hypocrisy is vast.

It's us against them, not us against y'all.

Now there's a truth we can agree on.

Uh..

We've only got two flat-erfers here on FR that I know of and they both some Q believers.

Maybe that ain't the best point to make right there.

You're doing alright otherwise.

This current lunacy is another kettle 'o fish.

Just as you hate the blog pimps, I hate the concern trolls who are always complaining that president Trump hasn’t satisfied all their wishes yet - while magically making up crap that ignores the reality of the politics and courts that says he could just snap his fingers and make it happen.....they serve no purpose but to detract from everything President Trump has done and has been doing which is aiding and abetting the left.
Add to that the fact that many of them don’t contribute a cent to FR and their very opinions become suspect...kind of like them bloggers.
