FBI Lawyer Says Page FISA Was Handled In An “Unusual Way,” Implicates Comey, McCabe, And Yates

One session revealed this week involves Trisha Anderson, an FBI lawyer who signed off on the Carter Page warrants. She testified in August of 2018 on her role and what she knew regarding how the process went down.

In her testimony, she alleges that the application process for the FISA warrant was handled in an “unusual” fashion and that numerous Obama era FBI officials were involved at the highest levels in pushing it through.

But Anderson stressed “in this particular case, I’m drawing a distinction because my boss and my boss’ boss had already reviewed and approved this application.” She emphasized “this one was handled a little bit differently in that sense, in that it received very high-level review and approvals — informal, oral approvals — before it ever came to me for signature.”

Normally, a FISA application would go to the legal department first to confirm that it is indeed proper to press forward with. In this case, top officials informally “approved” the application first, signaling to Anderson that her signature was just perfunctory.

Absolutely nails them of conspiracy at high levels. I wonder what Barak’s up to today.

Bill Barr, please connect ALL the dots here.

Apparently not unusual enough to cover their tracks.

Unusual, as in illegal?

And we will never see any of these discoveries on the mainstream media.

“Unusual, as in illegal?”

Exactly. I like how these people parse their words.

As in "plausible deniability". Sorry, it doesn't work that way. The signature on the line is the individual who is making a sworn statement and not anyone she may or may not have talked to at some point prior.

To me this supports my theory that Carter Page was a spy. There are only a handful of people who would know that. They did not want Anderson rejecting the application for lack of merit when they knew what was really going on. The FISA warrant was not being issued to spy on Page. Page was one of them. It was being issued to spy on those who might call Page. So it did not matter that the supporting documents were insufficient.

Most approvals start at the bottom and work their way up to a step where the approving authority has final authority.

In this case, the checklist started at the top, so the underlings quickly read the tea leaves and did not upset the "cart" on the greased skids.

I would have been totally surprised if it had been handled in a normal way.

Do they still hang people convicted of treason?

I want to watch.

I think their ‘take’ on this was that he’d be pushed out (one way or another) in the first 90 days, and no one would ever dig or ask questions. I might also offer the observation that they probably had done things like this before....to a much lesser scale.

IOW - they "pre-approved" so she wouldn't have to do her job....just sign off in the required spot....insuring that it wasn't vetted.

Didn't Barak tell them to play it "by the book", according to Susan Rice. Wonder which book he was referring to?
