Buttplug’s preachiness will be his downfall. He is a fake Christian sodomite who regularly attacks traditional Bible-believing Christians. Things will not end well for Mean Little Pete Buttplug.

By the Twitter date stamp, ol’ Dan Rather is also an entire day ahead of all of us so that means it applies to tomorrow’s debate as well!

I like Marianne Williamson’s theory of “dark forces.”

My new nickname for her is "Endora."

Or maybe Elvira, Mistress of the Dark!

CNN did a lousy job. They allowed the candidates to tell blatant lies without challenge. And they asked stupid questions.

That's true, but it was still better than I expected. Remember the last debate - where each democrat got a 40 second applause for any comment? And Chuck Todd was sooooo on their side that it was like wanted to be on the stage. And he kept looking up like he was a 10 year old boy struggling to form an idea? Mic going off audio problems...

I just expected this debate to be worse. I guess my bar is pretty low for MSM/democrat debates.

Lemon was the dreadful with his 'Muslim Ban' talk and his leading questions... Guess you're right. Pretty bad.

She got a couple good cheers from the crowd tonight but her closing was pathetic and they snubbed her.

I wish the moderators were informed enough to challenge the candidates on some of their comments. Medicare for all is so easy to counter. The 2019 Medicare Trustees’ report states that the Medicare Trust Fund will be exhausted in 2026. Medicare has been running in the red since 2008. Why would you expand a failing system? The average Medicare recipient receives three time more in benefits than he contributes to the system. And nine out of every ten Medicare recipients have private insurance (Medigap) to cover the costs not paid by Medicare. Bernie needs to be grilled on exactly what he means by Medicare for all. Medicare as currently structured is unsustainable.

I hope you are correct. Buttegieg is young, a vet, talks like Obama, and panders to any group that he thinks he can entice to vote for him. If he’s not Pres nominee, may be VP. I know people in his city are not happy with him so hope you are correct and he goes away. imho, some of his ideas seem to be socialist.

LOL - if everyone's Social Security payments had gone into the stock market (say the equivalent of an 500 Index fund) people would be retiring with millions of dollars and wads of cash left over for medical care and NOT the paltry little checks they receive now.

Your fantasy would only be true if everyone in the US put retirement money under their mattress...

Do YOU know anyone who puts money under their mattress? No? Well, me either. And our government doesn't do it either. If there's extra money it's in an interest bearing account.

There has never been an eight year period of time when the markets didn't make money. And yeah, that include the crash of ‘29.

Not only would retirees be better off - but it would have stopped the crooks in the democrat party from creating a ponzi scheme by stealing OUR money. Then forcing illegals on us to pay for their horrors.

It's not that I wish every democrat dead... or that that they suffered the way a fair universe would make them suffer... but it's close.

He's somewhere between a commie and a socialist... and for all his high sounding ideals, in a few years under his tutelage we'd be Venezuela or Cuba or worse.

In the first debate Buttplug said he was in favor of free healthcare for illegal aliens. Now watch him try to weasel out of that, he will.

Buttplug is a failed mayor of a small inconsequential city. 40 percent of the South Bend vote is black and they despise him for the phony that he is.

You sound like Bill Clinton who wanted to put the SS surplus into the stock market. That’s nuts. First, the sheer size of the fund would distort the market. Second, do you really want the government to have such power given the politicization of all our institutions? Finally, benefits have exceeded revenue since 2010. The size of the SSTF will decline until it is exhausted in 2034.

Currently, the $2.8 trillion SSTF is held in interest bearing, non-market T -bills, which are backed by the full faith and credit of the USG. No money has been stolen. Medicare and SS are unsustainable due to actuarial reasons. Both programs are pay as go systems whereby today’s workers pay for today’s retirees. In 1950 there were 16 workers for every retiree; today, it is a little less than three to one; and by 2030 there will be two. We are an aging society with ten thousand baby boomers retiring every day until 2030. By then, one in five in this country will be 65 and older. And people are living longer.

SS and Medicare need to be reformed in order to be sustainable.

Vanguard has funds based on a person's age... More in stocks when they're young — moving to ‘safer’ funds when they're older. If we want to end the ponzi scheme we start investing 30% of young workers social security payment to a Vanguard type fund - >B?in the person's name - (but money they can't take out until retirement.)

That stops democrats from stealing the money...

The 70% left can go to pay current retirees (it was never designed as a pay as you go system - but we all know democrats are thieves)... Then we take every dime we're giving to illegals and keep it - minus the first class ticket to fly them home. and use that for the shortfall.

There is no political will to make those changes. For three out of five recipients, SS represents more than half of their retirement income and for one out of three beneficiaries, SS is their sole source of income. There are currently 62 million people receiving SS benefits and that number will double in a decade.

SS is an insurance program, not a pension system. All of the contributions belong to the USG not the individual per Nestor vs Flemming. Yes, it was always a pay as you go program. And no money has been stolen from the system. People are living longer, the society is aging, the benefits are rising faster than the revenue thanks to COLAs, and the number of workers per retiree is declining from the 34 to one when the program was started in 1935. The only way to save SS is to raise taxes or reduce benefits or some combination there of.

In 1982 when the SSTF was exhausted Reagan and Tip O’Neill reached a Faustian bargain that increased taxes and reduced benefits. It was supposed to save the system for 75 years. It will only last 50 years until 2034.

You need to get better informed on how SS and Medicare work. I suggest you read the 2019 annual Trustees Report.
