Exclusive: FBI document warns conspiracy theories are a new domestic terrorism threat

The FBI for the first time has identified fringe conspiracy theories as a domestic terrorist threat, according to a previously unpublicized document obtained by Yahoo News. (Read the document below.)

The FBI intelligence bulletin from the bureau’s Phoenix field office, dated May 30, 2019, describes “conspiracy theory-driven domestic extremists,” as a growing threat, and notes that it is the first such report to do so. It lists a number of arrests, including some that haven’t been publicized, related to violent incidents motivated by fringe beliefs.

The document specifically mentions QAnon, a shadowy network that believes in a deep state conspiracy against President Trump, and Pizzagate, the theory that a pedophile ring including Clinton associates was being run out of the basement of a Washington, D.C., pizza restaurant (which didn’t actually have a basement).

“The FBI assesses these conspiracy theories very likely will emerge, spread, and evolve in the modern information marketplace, occasionally driving both groups and individual extremists to carry out criminal or violent acts,” the document states. It also goes on to say the FBI believes conspiracy theory-driven extremists are likely to increase during the 2020 presidential election cycle. FBI designates Pizzagate and QAnon conspiracy-based theories as domestic threats. (Photo illustration: Yahoo News; photos: Michael E. Miller/The Washington Post via Getty Images, Matt Rourke/AP, AP)

Not to worry. :) This document was shredded when it was released earlier this month. I will include the image below (cross posting from another thread) that describes the sourcing of this field office "memo" (hint: ridiculous) wherein I hi-lighted their methodology. Others actually went through the document and found that this FBI field office footnoted their research citing SNOPES.COM as their authoritative source in some places. :)
You get the picture - it's a worthless document. Really - when this was dug up at the start of the month, readers shredded its veracity and at that time, web searches revealed it was not on the FBI main web page, and even "sites" like CNN were calling it a memo, not a report. But the initial MSM tactic was to make it look like a true FBI Agency report.

with everything of late happening lately, and the name came calling of Trump of being a racist and a supporter of white supremacy and indirectly accusing all of his supporters of being the same...well we are at the point of no return from...

The article was even more scary dismissing the Seth murder and almost ever point made over the last few years and anything that supports the conservative side or points of view...no longer our country...no longer a Constitutional Republic!

This is fake news. The document quoted lacks authenticity. See post #41. Yahoo News needs to check their sources more thoroughly.

This report was released many days ago. I keep seeing stories about it. They only convince me more that the FBI is full of bad actors. What I would like to see is specifically who put there name on this report. Who signed it sort of say. Because we should remember those names. No question that they are not good people. They are the kind of people that can help arrange a suicide.

I get the impression there’s a full-on push to marginalize us; it’s not just this. I noticed Gnat-flix (netflix) is pushing a new documentary about Christians—the wrong kind of Christians— have infiltrated Washington to spread their angry-God theology through such things a prayer breakfasts.

Independent thinkers are an impediment to implementing the society they have in store for us.

Hopefully, they’ll eventually run out of other people’s money and fall short.

I think the FBI ARE domestic terrorists !

case in point: Trump/Russia Hoax, Las vegas massacre and Fast and Furious to name a few

Now it appears they want to reserve the power to arrest anyone who questions their terrorist acts

Time for the FBI to be disbanded, there is something very very wrong with the top brass

this is why the founders added the 2nd amendment " to defend our nation from enemies within and invading forces as well

the police can't do anything, they can barely defend themselves and the FBI just stirs up more trouble

Sure. Those who believe the "anthropogenic climate change" conspiracy, for example, are more likely to go nuts.

Everywhere you go, it's "modern man bad, civilization bad, we are killing the oceans, driving species to extinction, blah blah blah".

The Lorax killer thought there were too many people, and acted on his Eco-insanity.

Likewise, the OWS nuts, Antifa, BLM, and others. A few violent kooks in all those groups may be ready to snap. All fed by garbage conspiracy theories like the "hands up don't shoot" lie.

[ The FBI for the first time has identified fringe conspiracy theories as a domestic terrorist threat ]

Such as the conspiracy theory that Hillary lost the 2016 election by Russian hacking? Oh, nevermind.....

People say I’m crazy for believing this, but I believe robots are stealing my luggage.

ALL these ‘conspiracy’ extremists are right wingers ?

Strange, I saw the whole criminally idiot Russian Collusion thing on TV with leftist media wankers interviewing OTHER leftist media wankers endlessly for more than 2 years speculating wildly at what might have happened and what that might mean if it happened, and pig-squealing at every new baseless lie that was contrived.

The biggest bunch of conspiracy nuts then ARE the media wankers — and they WOULD have been called extremists in the past for the flotillas of lies and assumptions they presented as ‘news’ to the public.
