KUSI) – Half of the state’s registered voters admit to having given serious or some consideration recently to leaving California. according to a new poll.

Young voters were especially likely to cite unaffordable housing as a reason for leaving, according to the latest UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies poll.

The poll results said high cost of housing (71%) is the most common reason given by voters for wanting to leave California. However, high taxes (58%) and the state’s political culture (46%) are also prominently mentioned, particularly by Republicans and conservatives.

Another question in the poll asked Californians how they would describe the state as a place to live. The results of the latest poll said half the of state’s registered voters now describe California as “one of the best places” to live, up from 43% who felt this way the last time this question was posed in 2013.

However, here too, partisanship and political ideology play a prominent role, with Democrats and liberals nearly three times as likely as Republicans and conservatives to describe California as one of the best places to live.

It’s now a Mexican colony, why would US citizens stay when the state government refuses to protect them from illegal alien Mexicans and protects illegal alien Mexicans from US laws?

Funny you should say that. The news reporter this morning said:

But not all Californians are ready to leave

Cut to “immigrant” taking her kid to school

Eye theenk is good escuelas para mi chica. I stay.

Good people do leave but most of these “refugees” destroy other states. CO,NM and AZ are turning and I think Texas is in trouble.Over on the East Coast,NJ and NY idiots have “migrated” to lower states states like NC,VA,MD,FLA etc and are totally ruining them. Don’t depend on the worthless GOP to save ANY “red” state.

It’s not just people leaving CA. Radical Big Tech is setting up shop in red states like Google in Utah, Salesforce in Indiana, etc. No doubt they will use their power to push the progressive agenda there, too.

I live in an Arizona resort town just a few miles from the Calif border. We get a LOT of S Calif “visitors”. I have met several Californian people who say and think that they are conservative. After a short conversation it usually (99.9%) becomes very apparent that measured on an Arizona scale these deluded Californians are screaming liberals. It is a constant battle defending our fair city from being Californicated.

Half of LA is going to have to leave or pay through the nose to desalinate ocean water.

Just take the money for the "fast choo-choo" and use it to process seawater instead. That would actually be a valid use of the $$!

Of course, it being California, nothing sensible like that is ever going to happen.

I am seriously planning my escape from the Peoples Republic of Illinois. I will have to change my user name though.

Let me guess: "BoboutofIL" or "BobnotinIL" or something similar? :^)

But as usual, more Ds will leave and bring their diseased thinking to red states.

We have proof of this here in AZ.

My state elected in 2018 a radical D lefty -- Kirsten Cinema -- to the US Senate. How is this possible?

We get libs from California and leftist "snowbirds" from the north who arrive in time to vote in November.

That makes two of us, Bob. We have a nice little place in S. Carolina as a part-time residence. I want to make it full-time.

I’d recommend the majority that leave have a a big “L” tattooed or branded on their foreheads and not be allowed to vote in any other state they move to for at least 20 years.

Sort of.

It’s only been a few years ago that CA voters voted against gay marriage (twice), against service for illegals, and against rent control (in Nov 2018). The courts and the legislature have simply ignored those votes.

Part of their delusion is their moral superiority complex. Californians seemingly believe their state is the best thing since sliced bread and take great pride in the fact they are Californians, which is a hypocrisy if it’s so bad they want to leave.

Point being, this moral superiority goes with them and when they vote they vote to bring to their new nest the same crap they left behind. I’ve had transplanted Californicans try to talk down to me where I live regarding eco-whacko and animal rights issues.

California citizens who are thinking of leaving, please do not pack liberal ideas in your new state. Thank you!

Yeah, Half goes to Texas and the other half goes to Florida. Both are non income tax states and are Red. That's why they keep talking about turning Texas blue. The infection is spreading. In the 70's and 80's, we had an influx of snowbirds and they have been crapping all over everything since. Laws I never dreamed would come to Texas are continually coming out of Austin now. Now we have sanctuary cities in several towns, taxes are going up to educate illegals, and red light camera's?

Only a Democrat would say "Man, we have to get out of this crazy state", only to come to Texas to bring the same crap with them. In a place where some schools still pray in school, we now have gender neutral bathrooms and girls are going outside because a girly/boy is in the bathroom 3 hrs a day. We even have judges ruling like they are the 9th circuit now. Abbot is gun friendly now, but what will happen when Austin gets a Dem governor? Civil War is coming, IMO. There will be blood.
