BOEING, GE & CHINA

BOEING GE & CHINA

I'm NOT invested in BA (we have significant position in GE so the BA "mess" concerns us) but allow me to share a conspiracy theory with the gang.

I have no way of knowing this, but I HAVE learned that CHINESE CHIPS are in damn near every electronics system aboard US military aircraft, ships...the stuff that MOVES and electronically controlled.

The YouTube interview with General Spalding re the US China Trade War concerning China's CLEAR efforts to "DOMINATE AMERICA" informs us that the CPC (Chinese Communist Party) is in TOTAL CONTROL OF THAT NATION.

I have no direct knowledge if any electronics system DESIGN or MANUFACTURING (such as MCAS) or sub-components were "OUTSOURCED" to China or other nations essentially controlled by China, but the loss of faith in BA and the 737MAX would certainly be a boon to China which, I've heard, is moving into development and production of passenger aircraft & jet engines (with the FOOLISH help of both BA & GE).

The old wisdom embodied in the phrase "WOULD THAT MINE ENEMY HAD WRITTEN A BOOK" comes to mind.

"BOOK"? Hell, the CPC TELLS us every day what they're up to.

My fear is that the increasingly globalist run corporations based here (physically & OSTENSIBLY philosophically) are in the process of trading America's birthright for a mess of pottage the Communists running China have laced with cyanide.

Just sayin'

I have my concerns too but this has been going on for years maybe decades. IBM was the first company to rolled on in my opinion and China has been allowed to legally infiltrate almost every level of manufacturing for the pursuant profit and global market. I think most of the aerospace companies in the west are in deep trouble over this. The first hit will come with the new aircraft being tested in China that look awful close to its competitors and we in the IT field like to call it the “digital foo” is on the wall. Unless the companies completely pull manufacturing out of Communist Chine they will suffer the same fate as IBM.

I don’t think it can be stopped but the drive for profit is a powerful drug and these companies are addicted in a serious way.

The MCAS system is a tiny software algorithm that adjusts the yoke forces on the 737 Max so that at high angles of attack it “feels” the same as the 737 to pilots. This fully tested and FAA certified modification was added so that pilots would not have to recertify in the 737 Max if they already had in the 737.

The only hardware problem that shows up in the accident investigations is the Angle of Attack (AOA) sensors on either side of the fuselage. Somehow one of them was damaged in some way that caused the readings between them to differ by 25 degrees. The problem was reported to the airline maintenance staff but they did not ground the planes and fix the problem before the fatal flights. This sensor difference when applied to the flight controller system caused it to detect a nose high attitude which it tried to correct by trimming the aircraft nose down using the electric stabilizer trim.

Neither of the aircrews on the fatal flights responded to the “runaway stabilizer trim” emergency correctly by disengaging the flight director, turning off the electric stabilizer trim switches, reducing power, regaining a normal flight attitude, and using manual trim until landing. This training is part of every pilot’s certification training checklist and it is unknown why they failed to follow the procedure. At least one of the crews was manned by a right seat pilot with only 200 hours of flight time which is not sufficient to handle complex aircraft like the 737 Max.

The accidents both could have been avoided and the emergency recovered from with proper maintenance and/or crew training in this procedure. The MCAS software has been modified to compare the AOA sensors and disengage if the reading are significantly different as a further safety measure.

The Chinese had nothing to do with any of this.

No matter the source of electronics, Boeing executives shot themselves in the foot by demanding silence from its engineers when the first issues with MAX jets arose. Lack of training, engine weight and location doomed this jet. I wouldn’t be surprised if criminal charges are brought.

To paraphrase your concern:
My fear is that the increasingly globalist...[forces within]...are in the process of trading America's birthright for...??

We have the most capable armed forces in the world. But, as they say, "that is so yesterday"; it is an unarmed invasion we will need to defend against.

Perhaps the only effective defense will be to seal off our international relations with an "America 1st" shield. Unfortunately, we may no longer have the political will to do that.

(The absolute best way, of course, would be to topple from within the government of any nation that obviously seeks to do us significant harm. But again, we have within us forces that would likely render such an action impossible.)

You are correct. Contrary to what many here believe.

In the early 20th century a quasi-scientic ideology centering on “the fittest human culture should dominate and lead the world forever” took hold in the world’s elites. Ideologues were thick in the elites of germany and italy and france and spain and england and across the atlantic in canada, usa, and even mexico.

The fall of france and the switch to collaborative alliance was so fast it always smelled of traitorous elite.

Nowadays we have a world of corporations and i fear a ivy league “fittest strongest business ideology” has adherents in every geo-strategic boardroom. National motivations and priorities are so 1980 in these places.

Those boards are depending on asian inputs, and cross-investments. Do US boardrooms have a US Flag in pride of place and up front? Do they even have the flag on the groundfloor at Reception with the indoor plants?

I think #45 noticed and rejected this ideological rise 30 years ago. Eg, his dislike of foreign steel.

The above is super brief and conspiritorial of course. Of course.

In my investment in a new mine i have suffered due to ccp influence as they has gained more and more board control over the last 5 years due to the original blunder of having the chinese smelters agree to an offtake funding deal.
