***Back in the 50s and 60s,***
Never saw “too much” shot back in those days until the murder of Bobby Kennedy and the anti-violence hysteria that followed causing TV shows for adults, but still safe for kids, to be dumbed down to strictly kiddie shows.
The Movie industry got a reprieve by saying they would “police themselves” with a joke of a ratings system. G, M, R, X.
With the Hays Code now dead they reshot scenes adding more blood, guts and sex to get the then coveted “R” rating.
I still remember seeing “G” rated movies in 1969 that today would be rated “R” with the added nudity.
Even ROMEO AND JULIET 1969, was rated “R” due to a 1/2 second shot of a nipple. Now it is rated PG-13. Same for Jim Brown’s RIOT rated “R”, now PG-13.
Now there is no end as excessive blood and guts, extreme nudity, now fills the TV airwaves and cable.
She was 7 months pregnant.
In, G.O.T. they hid a lot under long dresses, sheets and laying prone. I saw Emilia Clarke in Terminator Genisys and wasn’t totally impressed with her figure (speaking of course, relative to her fellow actresses in general). She looks good from the belly, up. Legs are very short and her hiney appeared a bit big/wide. She is far from “statuesque”, as they say.
She did cash her paychecks for that, did she not?
The only problem with Emilia Clarke as Daenerys was her eyebrows. Supposedly, she did not want to bleach them for the show.
As for nudity, she was already a big star by season 6 when her best nude scene occurred.

Yeah, when I saw her on the first episode of GOT I remember thinking “Ain’t a thing wrong with that.”

Yes, I believe her very first scene in the books (and the show) is her, naked in a bathtub, getting inspected by her brother prior to being presented to Khal Drogo.
It’s not as if the scenes were just inserted for the show on a whim. Her character actually had a lot of explicit scenes in the books that were cut out from the show.
Sorry, but if you are the adult female lead on an HBO drama, you know there is going to be nudity. If you don’t understand that, you are an idiot.

For the last 60-80 years actresses have been WILLINGLY trading sex and/or nude scenes for fortune and fame. I doubt that many of them, given a chance to go back in time and change their choices, would do it.
Been there...Done that... Know exactly how you felt, all those times you were dehumanized...
