Unless I misunderstand, this post asserts that police would harass citizens or fail to do their jobs - the jobs for which citizens are paying them - because of personal pique.

If that is true, doesn’t it support the Starbucks employee’s opinion of police?

Oh hell yeah. Why on earth would the cop who was treated like that trip over his feet to race to a job at that Starbucks? If one can find a way to remove the human element out of policing, I'd love to hear it.

Yes. You get it. That type of mentality reminds me of the kind of people who say “well if you feel that way don’t call the cops when you need one”, if you ever offer any type of criticism of any police ever. To which the correct response is, “I will, because it’s still their their job”
