PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (ABC7) Stephanie Mohrs life changed forever 25 years ago. As a young Prince Georges County Police K9 Officer, she and her partner, Valk, were asked to assist on a breaking and entering call in Takoma Park, Maryland.....
Now nearly a decade after her release, she is asking for a presidential pardon

She thought siccing a dog on a human being was a good idea. She did the crime and she did the time.
I remember her case. I supported her defense.
Shouldn't all K-9 police officers who "sic a dog" on fleeing suspects go to jail then?
A burglary suspect fleeing the scene? Shouldn’t the cops be allowed to shoot them?
She used poor judgement in going to work for a filthy east coast democrat shithole but I’m totally cool with the dog thing.
What the hell do you think police dogs are for? What an idiotic comment.
She deserves a full pardon.
The dog bit the fleeing perp and it required some stiches.
Suppose it had been a male officer, and instead of using a dog, he tackled the perp, and the perp's head banged on the sidewalk, requiring stitches.
Would you feel the same way, that the method of arrest should send the cop to prison for 10 years? If not, why?
This gets turned into a criminal case against the police officer? And she gets 10 years? Why? What are police dogs for? Can't they be used? Maybe the officer should have just shot the fleeing suspect in the back. Heck, the typical first degree murder convict is out in seven.
This was in PG County, MD. What was the real offence? Policing while white?
The courts banned the use of lethal force on a fleeing suspect many years ago.

Yes, I figured. But there’s often a difference between the law and what is right.
Something got left out is correct.
This is just her side of the story.
What’s the other side of the story?
What would Harry Callahan do?
Hey I get it. You’re okay with using vicious animal tonattack flow human being. You’re not alone, lots of people agree with you.

Sounds like a BS charge. I’d be curious to see just who appointed the US Attorney who ordered the prosecution.
Maybe next time cops should just shoot the suspect first.
Being bit by a K9 is just sooooo
humiliating compared to be shot dead.
Maybe somebody local to there knows.
