Meanwhile, were these gowns really in need of a recall—or just a way for China to get 9 million gowns back from us?

Until I know better I don’t believe they went unused:

Oh, and remember all those reports about how hospitals were packing up their mask supplies and shipping them to China?

But it’s hot there. Unless you are inside. With the virus.

Woman who works with me is from Iran. Her mother and aunt are nurses. Aunt is in quarantine now. Mother has been working non-stop in hazmat suit for two weeks. Bodies stacking up everywhere. No good.

“In Italy the current death rate is running at 6.6%.” No it isn’t. To know the death rate have to know how many cases there are and they don’t know that. Recorded cases may be a small minority of actual cases.

The true death rate is how many people will die from it without treatment. That indeed is somewhere between 5% and 10%. That's why it's so high in Italy. It's out of control and they can't treat everyone. That's why it's high in Iran too.

There is a cluster in Seoul now. SK put off the inevitable. But it’s going to happen.

When we see breakouts in Calcutta, Rio, and Mumbai...then the walls have truly fallen.

Interesting, that I don’t see Poland closing churches, and Poland is probably the most church-going country in the world.

There are a lot of posters here in the ‘good, all those expensive old people will die!’ group.

(because they’ll never get old and if they do THEY will be healthy the whole time!)
