A grant has been offered to provide free meals (two a day) for children to be picked up or delivered by school buses. Buses will also be used to deliver WiFi sources to some areas and some buses will deliver instructional materials.
It was easy to see that this was coming as public schools were being shut down.
Many if not most schools are basically day care and feeding centers and not learning centers.

Whatever they’ve become, the schools are nothing like what I went to in my public school years. I was fortunate to go when getting an education was still the objective.

I went through SC school system in the 70s and 80s.
They wouldn’t close for anything then.
School was a joke 8th grade on.
