Funny because I was thinking more along the lines of how they tried to use smog to drive Churchill from office.
I’ll never understand how they can equate Trump to a monarch/dictator.

They still have to fill the airtime. Yesterday we watched the same type of program that compared the 2 Elizabeths and how they were eerily similar even though they were hundreds of years apart. Needless to say the treatment of the 2 Queens was a lot more sympathetic than that of Henry and Donald. BTW they weren’t too kind towards Henry either. The 2 Elizabeths was actually pretty good, which is why I even bothered to give this one a look.
Dickens called Henry VIII “a blot of blood and grease upon the History of England.” To his credit though, Henry brought the Reformation to England and built the navy that his daughter needed to defeat the Spanish Armada.
Lucy Worsley does a series called Royal History's biggest fibs and she did an entire program on how the defeat of the Spanish Armada was one big PR campaign. She basically said the Spanish Armada was doomed from the day it left Spain, England had very little to do with it and most of what the modern accounts show was Elizabethan spin. Here is a summary
The similarities between the two men is eerie, I tell you. Besides the ulcerated leg thing, the two men could be twins. Look at the horrible deaths meted out to anyone who dare oppose Donald Trump. And don’t even get me started on how he seized the property of America’s richest organizations and sold what was left of their property to his supporters.
Keep your free healthcare and bad teeth and wait for the Germans, er....Muslims to attack.
