NBC News chief foreign correspondent Richard Engel said Wednesday that the COVID-19 coronavirus is a bat virus, not a China virus....He also argued that China certainly feels that referring to the virus as the Chinese virus amounts to scapegoating. This is a virus that came from the territory of China but came from bats, he continued. This is a bat virus, not a China virus.

This is just batty.
If a virus were found to have emanated from fleas on raccoons living in Hell, MI, it would be known as "Hell fever," or something like that.

They need to stop this crap. Do people discriminate against the people of Lyme CT because of Lyme disease? Petty people pick on petty things. It shows just how shallow this guy is.

So calling “Lyme Disease” is racist against people in Lyme, CT?
And Ebloa is racist against people who live on the Ebloa River?
What a silly reporter.

Right - the bats run unclean, unsafe open-air markets featuring live wild animals which are slaughtered on the spot for customers. When will those bats learn?
