The secret of Jodi Huisentruit's disappearance could die with the execution of a notorious Iowa drug kingpin.
Dustin Honken is up for execution for the murder of five people in the 1990s -- and supposedly knows who abducted the television news anchor back in June of 1995.
Steve Ridge is an investigative journalist who's dedicated the last 19 months looking into Jodi's case. Ridge says an accomplice of Honken's, Angela Johnson -- who is also serving time in prison for her part in the murders-- claims that Honken knows who abducted Jodi.
Honken was set to be executed in January, but a U.S. District Court of Appeals intervened, halting the sentence being carried out. Now, with the global pandemic, Ridge says it's unclear when Honken will be executed.
Ridge believes Johnson's claims are something worth checking out.
"The reality is there are so few valuable strands of potential evidence that even exists, given all 25 years later -- that something that powerful and significant as this may sit out there, you do not want to let that get away from you," Ridge said.
Ridge has met with Honken's attorney's about Johnson's claims. He believes there will be an arrest in the case by this June, which marks 25 years since Jodi's disappearance.
Now, with the global pandemic, Ridge says it’s unclear when Honken will be executed.

Mebbe the virusll git im!
I’ve seen the story about her disappearance a few times on Investigation Discovery. I hope there’s some resolution to this. IIRC, she was secretly investigating something “big” — bigger than what her typical stories involved — and dangerous. Never told anyone the details, but most assumed it had to do with drugs. Beautiful girl.
so a drug king pin on death row wants his death sentence stopped because he is the only one who knows the answer to this question. His partner in crime says so. A reporter says so. I think I would be checking out deposits into some folks accounts.
Yes she was. I don't know why the deaths of pretty young women bothers me far more than that of older women or men (of any age). But it does. I hope that someday justice is done for her.
I’ve seen the story, too.
If he hasn’t given up the details, he’s not going to now.
Jodi Sue Huisentruit (born June 5, 1968 declared legally dead May 2001) was an American television news anchor for KIMT, the CBS affiliate in Mason City, Iowa. Huisentruit went missing in the early morning hours of June 27, 1995, soon after telling a colleague that she was on her way to work. As there were signs of a struggle outside her apartment, she is believed to have been abducted. However, extensive investigations have failed to uncover any clues to her disappearance. Huisentruit was declared legally dead in 2001.
Too little, too late. ADIOS SCUM. Wasted our air and food supplies for all these years? No bueno. (malo)

You are not the only one. I know I should not think like that.
I didnt think Iowa or Minnesota had capital punishment.
And as a bonus he will throw in Earhardt and Hoffa...fry the dirt bag....

It’s hardwired into men to protect their women/tribe.
In my opinion its one of the reasons why the left pushes promiscuity so much.
If the women are all sluts what man is going to want to risk his life to protect them or fight for his tribe/country?
I worked with this woman for three or four years at a summer resort in Minnesota.
I never wished her a single ‘ill’ but she was disliked by all of our fellow employees - enough that we had to have a meeting to figure out how to deal with her greed.
Lot’s of stories about her...

Interesting. She did appear to be someone who’d step on others to succeed.

I agree
I saw the ID shows as well. That older dude she hung out with sure seemed odd.
Whatever he says about it will be a baldfaced lie. Ice the bastard.
And even if he doesn't, ya still get to torch him.
