It’s never good for a sitting president heading into reelection to be compared to Jimmy Carter. In 1980, with the country in an economic and diplomatic crisis, the beleaguered former president took on Ronald Reagan, then considered a weak challenger, and won only six states.
Now as 2020 nears, President Trump is finding himself constantly behind Democrats in reelection polls and the latest has compared the Republican to Carter. “Perhaps the closest analogy to Trump in terms of approval ratings is Jimmy Carter, whose average approval rating for his term was 45 percent,” said a survey from the Wason Center for Public Policy at Virginia’s Christopher Newport University.
“Carter, of course, lost his reelection bid. Trump’s average approval rating for his first 27 months in office has ranged between the high 30s and the mid-40s. President Trump will be the least popular president to run for reelection in the history of polling,” said the poll analysis that put Trump at 37% and a generic Democrat at 48%.

Pay no attention to polls, especially right now, but the threat to us, the Republican Party, and our Nation is real and we need to behave with an understanding that we can lose, because we can. The Electoral College is our best friend, so the fact that current nationwide polls reflect a 60% Democrat win in California and New York means that the Electoral College is much closer than any poll. Our biggest threat is a nationwide vote by mail, if that happens we cannot win.
Also remember that people are so easily manipulated by real events and by an effective propaganda campaign. If Trump is blamed for the economic disaster associated with the coronavirus pandemic, he is toast. If the people believe the media lies, the election will be a toss up. Right now, Trump is winning on both of those fronts, but the Democrats and the media are going to continue to fight dirty right up to Election Day.

The swing voters may not like “drama” , but they full well know the majority of the “drama” was due to the Left attempting to remove a duly elected President.
It is like someone is getting punched in the face and complaining to their attacker to stop.

This is another fake news poll - full of Leftist bias and wishful thinking.
I don’t think it’s possible to find an honest poll because the polling industry is dominated by the same MSM monopoly that produces the fake news. Fake news equals fake polls.
But even if you found an honest poll, it would reflect how people say they will vote in the future - not how they will actually vote.
Many people haven’t decided. Many people won’t even share their political leanings with close friends and loved ones, much less strangers conducting a poll.
There is only one thing certain about polls: they will be wrong.
My gut feeling has a MUCH better track record than any poll - and it tells me President Trump is a shoe-in for re-election.
