Yikes.

Hope it’s a mild strain and everyone is working on their D3 levels right now!

In better news, the local chicken processing facility seems to be open again. Chicken trucks running again.

” gotta sell that vaccine”

That is why the flu numbers are inflated. That somewhere at the bottom of the article.

“err on the side of substantially overestimating flu deaths, in order to encourage vaccination and good hygiene”

TX had it’s highest deaths yesterday but we’re opening up today. Way to go, Gov. Abbott. Just brilliant. He says the next phase will open up bowling alleys. Woo hoo, rented shoes and who knows who’s fingers have been in those balls.

Our county doubled it’s cases last week and have more this week which is right on target from all the Easter tourists. But, hey, it’s more important to get those nail salons “legallly” open today. /s

Governments have figured out they need those tax dollars.

And since it just ‘kills’ the elderly it will save Social Security and Medicare.

Not kidding.

Yes, TX has already had outside temps reach 90. It’s been proven time and again this thing doesn’t die until hit with 200 degrees for 15 minutes. Sorry, Abbott, Summer ain’t gonna do it.

The tourists were out in force here in Central TX for Easter. This high mark is right on target.

From your article....

Mason County Judge, Jerry Bearden confirmed Thursday that the spike in cases is due, in part, to a recent in-person city council meeting. “We were just riding along in the local wagon, and all of a sudden the wheels fall off,” said Mason County Judge, Jerry Bearden. “We now have an open-wide pandemic here in the county.”

Is this County Judge for real?? This sounds like a line straight out of Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.

What did they think was going to happen?

Don’t forget the 40-50 year olds, they make up the majority of those hospitalized, for weeks, even of they don’t die.

Let’s lock them down too (gonna be a small problem with that since the run most of the business in the US).

The “not my problem, don’t tell me to wear a mask” types have very little knowledge of the demographics and risk factors of this virus because they don’t spend time reading research, they listen to a few quacks saying it’s a hoax.

Ya.

I’m not worried about dying.

I’m worried about weeks in the hospital, medical debt that will never be able to be paid off and possible long term health issues that will ALSO cost a lot of money.

And let’s be honest, even the 30 somethings can have this whup their A@@es. The 30 something we know that had it early on was out of the office for FIVE WEEKS. How many employers can have important people gone for that long? And if one has it, the rest probably do as well. Then what?

Flubros would probably just fire the sick people.

They didn’t catch it at home. They weren’t staying home. That’s the problem. Half the houses around our two subdivisions have work crews coming and going. Hey, putting up twinkle lights is essential. Those crews drive to get material so leave/pick up CV off gas pump handles. Then they go into stores for materials spreading more CV. Then they go get something to eat passing it around some more. Then they bring their kids to work and later their wives come get the kids. Then the home owners have to come out to inspect things before heading into town to buy a new pair of shoes at Wally World since the shoe store isn’t open. On the way home, they stop at the nail salon because it stays open even though the cops tell them to shut down. While the wives get their nails done, the husbands go across the street to the gambling joint which the cops also tell every day to shut down but they don’t.

And then the home owners decide to have a family reunion bringing in people from who knows where so there’s six different strains of CV all at one house. Of course, they all need to go rent boats and jet skis and go to the store for water toys. Half the reunion-ers decide the house is too crowded so they rent cabins and spread the virus to the housekeeping and the people who rent the cabins next. And they all need to shop at grocery stores for the bbq and stop at convenience stores for junk food. And, and, and.

They were clearly agenda/program posters.

another way this could get spread is people walking around in big city subdivisions on the sidewalk. If you are in your front yard working you are less than six feet from them in many cases. Have a person running or bicycling on that sidewalk and the germs spew.

1/2 life is a minute and half in aerosol in the sun. That is enough time for you to catch it.

This is one reason it’s not wildfire in Sweden, majority of them live alone.

A majority of people in Sweden do not live alone:

"Share of Sweden's population living in a single-person household from 2007 to 2016"

- see https://www.statista.com/statistics/546266/percentage-of-swedish-population-living-alone/
