Even if one has been infected with the virus, it should show you how limited masks are in protecting yourself.
Who cares?
Masks protect your neighbor,
not yourself.
They should be especially susceptible, if exposed to a carrier, for the same reason orthodox Jews and American blacks outside the South are susceptible: serious Vitamin D deficiency. Also, obesity and its attendant diabetes are increasingly common in the Middle East.
SHAME on you nully!
You do know not every Muslim sect requires a veil, right?
They do not protect anyone
Masks protect patients on an operating table from contamination by medical professionals in a sterile environment. Masks do not protect you or anyone else in a supermarket.
Masks do not protect the wearer, and aren’t intended to. They are designed to protect others, in case the wearer is an asymptomatic carrier.
A Muslim, a fellow employee in Sarasota, told me that he had four children. I said, “Are the others not yours?” He replied, “Oh, the girls don’t count.”
I doubt anyone is keeping track of what happens to Muslim women.
Sheesh! Ask a simple question and all I see are idiot comments!
I too, would like to know the answer.
Has the news said anything about muslims getting the virus? Yes or no?
... however, a mask is no more effective in stopping transmission of this Chinese virus than is a handkerchief, but without the dehumanization.
I understand that my passion may appear harsh to fearful minds, but know that my "social responsibility" to "others" ends at not being around other people if I have symptoms ... if I'm sick. "Other people's" health is their responsibility and their's alone -- that is, we are individually responsible for our own well-being and must not require everyone else -- health people, nonetheless --- to protect us from a everything ... to make us "feel safe".
To be unambiguously clear, unless I'm a visitor to a health facility (nursing home; hospital or the like), if I'm not sick (in which instance I should stay the hell home until I'm well), I am not responsible to protect anyone else from me by wearing a mask or by maintaining a 12-foot diameter portable quarantine zone around me. These actions are not only ineffective, terribly anti-social and downright rude, as human interaction is essential to living and to conducting business healthy people walking around looking as if they belong in an infirmary and scared to come close to anyone else will slow America's economic recovery to a crawl, and we'll be doing our Christmas shopping wearing those ridiculous, ineffective, unhealthy and dehumanizing masks ... a fine way to enjoy the holiday season (see my tagline).
If they don’t count,
can they read?

Thought that up all by yourself, did you?

Thank you.
