Disney fans are hoping one of the most popular rides will get a redo.
Splash Mountain, a ride inspired by the film “Song of the South,” is a major attraction at both Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California.
“Song of the South” is a 1946 film considered by many to be the studio’s most racist, criticized for its stereotypes of black people and its apparent nostalgic view of the antebellum South. The film is best known for the song “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah.”
Several petitions have popped up recently, CNN reports, calling for Disney to remove all mentions of the movie from the ride. While the ride’s storyline is not an exact depiction of the movie, it features characters including Br’er Rabbit, Br’er Fox and Br’er Bear.

They HAVE removed all symbols of racism from that ride.
They removed all the black folk and Uncle Remus and made it all lily white.
I’m surprised it hasn’t happened yet.
The left wants to erase history it currently doesnt like.
Eventually they will have to erase all of it.
Then their predecessors will go about erasing them. Because they won’t be pc enough for the future standards.
And when you erase history you can’t learn from it anymore.
Wnich is exactly what they want. they only seek to indoctrinate and want tge kind of people who say “we are at war with eastasia and always have been” one day, and the very next day say “we are at war with eurasia and always have been” the next.

Because nothing is more offensive that an elderly black wise man respected by all, and able to weave Aesop like fables that both entertain and can educate children and adults of all races.
But then again, I’m sure they would also condemn Aesop because in his life he was a strikingly ugly slave.

Splash Mountain circa 1883. I was with a well endowed lady friend getting wet on Splash Mountain. When you come down the last slope there are cameras and you can buy the photo outside the ride.
She decided to lift her blouse at the most opportune moment. She was without benefit of brassiere. I decided I would buy the photo. 15.99 as I recall.
Somehow the young woman said, it didn’t come out. Coincidence? I think not. But always one of my favorite rides.
