Dwight Howard has all the basketball reasons in the world to want to jump on a plane and head to Orlando to be part of the NBA’s restart of the season. He’s a key big man on a Lakers’ team that is the odds-on favorite to win it all, and a ring would be the cherry on top of his Hall of Fame career.
But Dwight Howard says players should not play right now, there are far more critical things to focus on in society.
Howard was part of Friday night’s 80-player call, led by Kyrie Irving, discussing whether players should be part of the restart. Howard told CNN he thought the NBA should not play right now. Here’s Howard’s statement, via his agent, to CNN.

It states in the article that the players are not forced to go to Orlando and if they don’t they will not be paid.
“There is not a unified feeling among players about the restart. It is a personal decision for each player. Players do not have to report to Orlando and will not be punished, although they will not be paid for that time.”
And I agree with them. There is a racial problem in the US and it is both ways. Needs to be a sit down talk with leaders of both sides to do something positive. And it takes good people to say business as usual with something so far from the problem that is well down the stimpmeter to correct it. He and Irving could be a couple of men that might be good sources of understanding and workable.

Most kids these days are all in for shooting up other kids on video games. That doesn’t leave any time for watching sports on TV, like when we were young.
I can name at least 25 MLB players right off the top of my head... And they’re all on the LA Dodgers.

I agree with no professional sports—until the anti-white institutional and mass media racism ends.
MLB has for the last several years been getting attention because the number of African-American players (i.e. blacks) has been dropping. Many more Latins and even Asians coming into the majors. Black kids would rather pay hoops I guess.
