I am certain that mask-wearing causes health risks by reducing the flow of O2 into the lungs and forcing the wearer to breathe in CO2.

If you don't like wearing a mask, you can just walk around with your face pressed into your sleeve.

Way easier to wear a mask but whatever you prefer.

Someone who has tracked this should make a graphic showing the so called scientific findings on every side of Covid 19 findings.

Contagious on surfaces - not contagious on surfaces.
model (a) shows xx - - - model (b) shows yy. You get the point. Then with the final statement: “Is this the science liberals worship?”

Much more likely the clothes will not be re-worn until they have been washed, while the masks are constantly being reused (among other improper mask usage).

Viruses are some of the smallest particles on earth, they cannot be viewed without an electron microscope. I have serious doubts about cloth face masks being able to stop them.

The article is total poppy-cock, and you’re conclusions are inaccurate.

No mention in your references of NIOSH anywhere.

Wearing a Mask is effective, and very much worth the effort.

Stay Well.

Dr. Denis G Rancourt, PhD was interviewed on Graham Ledger show on OANN this evening. He makes a lot of sense.

Anecdotally: Look at Hong Kong. The population wear mask, use distancing, and disinfectants on floor mats when you enter a building. The closed the borders to China (And everywhere else) They’ve had fewer than 200 deaths in a city the size of NYC and that is even more crowded. Most of the hygiene measures are just done. The government does not mandate it.

The government does power wash sidewalks with disinfectant and quarantine any HK residents returning from abroad. If you do not have a place to live or violate the home quarantine, you are placed in a converted summer camp in Tseng-Kan-O for 2 weeks.

Is that a scientific study? No. But I bet if people in Houston did those things the virus wouldn’t be a problem.

___

The virus travels on droplets of saliva and mucus. If you stop those you stop the virus. You don’t cough out pure virus.

Question: If mask don’t work the why do sugeons use them?

Good thing you said “Stay well” rather than “Breathe easy.”

Way back in March, this question came up to the guru of gurus in Germany on the topic of virus issues. He said in very blunt language...because of the size of the Coronavisus ‘bug’...most all masks were NOT effective. Then he said the only reason to wear it...was if you had the virus and coughed...the bulk of the cough would stay within the mask itself. That was the only plus-side of the mask business.

Me too.

I’m a very old man in very good health for my age, but clearly at high risk from Covid-19. I’m good to walk without a cane or assistance for about half an hour at a time.

A few weeks ago, I went to a store wearing gloves and brand-new standard procedure mask to enter the store.

After about 15 minutes I was exhausted and breathing very fast, and began to feel disoriented, with serious difficulty focusing my vision. I had to get out and left the store.

I immediately removed my mask when I got outside, and felt much better after about 5 breaths of fresh air. I was completely recovered and just fine within 2 minutes.

Hypercapnia (look it up), from wearing a mask, is very real, especially for me.

That all might be true but if they didn’t eat bats and dogs they wouldn’t need the masks to protect them from all the diseases they have flying around. just sayin.

I bet it's the closing the borders to everywhere else which is the main factor, perhaps the only factor. And unfortunately Houston, or any other US city, or even the US as a whole, can't do that.

More importantly, sneezing into your elbow (sleeves or not) deposits the sneeze on your elbow instead of your hands, making it less likely that you will contaminate other objects with your hands.
