The turmoil coursing through cultural institutions around the country on the subject of race has made its way to the biggest museum of them all: the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
A top curators Instagram post that seemed critical of the Black Lives Matters movement and protests over monuments shared on Juneteenth has ignited objections by staff members, and a larger internal critique. On Tuesday, 15 Met staff members sent a letter urging the museums leadership to acknowledge what we see as the expression of a deeply rooted logic of white supremacy and culture of systemic racism at our institution.
The episode is the latest example of how arts institutions are grappling with issues of equity and diversity amid protests over the killing of George Floyd and an intensification of activity by the Black Lives Matter movement.

I referenced some of my favorite artists I like to view when I go to the Met.
Cue the theme song: “Mao, American Style...”
LOL - the curator, who seems to be very commie, was not just commie enough, so he had to go.
They can forget my donation...and probably that of many other sane human beings.
All of the old art will be destroyed by the commies if people dont start resisting soon.
My favorites at the Met are the Van Goghs. Seeing what they did with historical and artistic statues, it’s probably only a matter of time before the left begin the attacks against many of the greatest painters and pieces of artwork of all time as too Western and too white. It’s disturbing. I hope we aren’t headed towards the new Dark Ages.

There goes Michelangelo, Sistine Chapel, Bach, Beethoven etc.

Wikipedia: Robin Pogrebin is also the author, with Kate Kelly, of The Education of Brett Kavanaugh: An Investigation, a book about allegations from Kavanaugh’s 2018 Supreme Court nomination hearings with a publishing date in September 2019 from Portfolio Books, a division of Penguin Random House. Before publication, the Times published a widely criticized[4] essay adapted from the book that primarily addressed accusations about an incident with Deborah Ramirez and another incident alleged by Max Stier, both of which occurred at Yale.[5] Before Kavanaugh’s confirmation in October, 2018, Pogrebin, who was a classmate of Kavanaugh at Yale, and Kelly, also at the Times, were featured in a podcast about what the then-judge’s classmates were saying concerning his nomination to the Supreme Court.

Only with the Left, should they get their way, it will be the Douche Ages.
Wait until they discover that Beethoven was a republican.
He made one mistake. He apologized. He was right and should have stood by his statements. By the way, if you’re not willing to stand by your statements don’t make them.
Grappling? Surrendering is probably more accurate.
bttt
He should not have apologized.
Leftist revolutions eat their own. Every time. They can’t help it.
I agree.
The mob claims another who will not stand by his words.
