LOS ANGELES - An American Airlines pilot reports seeing a mystery person in a jetpack flying high above Los Angeles, right in the path of incoming jets at LAX Sunday evening.
When it comes to accuracy and detail and reliability, youd probably rank airline pilots right up there. So, when an American Airlines pilot reported via radio to the control tower seeing a "guy in a jetpack" as he was approaching LAX at about 3,000 feet and ten miles out for a landing, you had to give it serious credibility, as unlikely as that may be.
You can listen to the actual radio transmissions in our story.
A second pilot also saw it.
Is it possible? Based on research, jetpacks can fly that high, but is it likely? Common sense would say no, but again, its an airline pilot reporting it, with "visual flight rules" meaning plenty of visibility, and it wasn't dark yet.

Sarlacc is with BLM? We’re doomed.
Larry and his BB gun.
Yup.
That was my first thought.
He was certainly a badass. He didn’t deserve the Sarlacc pit in Return of the Jedi lol. Lucas downgraded him inbetween Empire Strikes Back to Return of the Jedi. Luckily, the books and comics made him a bad ass again.
Aww.... I’d love to commute via jetpack. I’m jealous...
Dont scratch your nose...and dont touch the surface of what you are flying over....and if your arms get tired...well goodbye. Still pretty cool. Possible single or a few very short dedicated mission utility.
Tony Stark...IRON MAN!!
