I read that after this Capone’s Vault fiasco the producers of such shows made sure there was something “planted” in there to find.

The Andria Doria safe comes to mind. They found cash in the safe. It was later reported the cash had been planted to give the viewers something to see.

Same for STORAGE WAR$. Some items planted there by the producers to give the viewers a thrill.
